What's in your glass? We had a 2008 @JosephPhelps Insignia, pulled from the cellar, removed cork and stood the bottle upright for two hours. Color of blackberries and the light brown tinge on the edges signifying age; aromas included blueberry, blackberry, plum, dust, toasted oak, vanilla and marshmallow with delightful round flavors of blue to black fruit, fig, notes of a fine Amarone, black pepper, charred steak, dark chocolate and drying tannins for a finish that wouldn’t finish. 99 Eve pts. Tonight we finally got to enjoy our vintage Cabernet Sauvignon made by Joseph Phelps Vineyards @josephphelps We choose this wine the year we got married because of its vintage date of 2009. The year that we met and fell in love. 9 years of aging and 5 years of marriage later we now have one fine wine! Like wine, love and marriage get better with age.
