This is something I am working on daily, bringing everything that is heavy for me to Jesus. Sleepless nights and a crying baby... Taking it to Jesus Feelings of worthlessness and un acceptance... Taking it to Jesus Worrying about being good at what I do... Taking it to Jesus Fear of the future, fear of the unknown... Taking it to Jesus Comments about parenting or homeschooling... Taking it to Jesus The bad things that have happened to me in the past... Taking it to Jesus Shame for the life I once lived and all that I did... Taking it to Jesus I’m pretty good at bringing Jesus into all the small areas of my life, all the day to day decisions. BUT I’m still learning how to give my load to Him... and that’s okay. It’s okay that I’m still learning. It’s okay that I don’t have everything right. Alright, here’s a confession that might raise an eyebrow or two: lately, I’ve found myself indulging in the most peculiar pastime—sticking my chest out with unabashed pride, as though I’m strutting through a David Attenborough documentary. It’s the sort of display you’d expect from an overzealous peacock, or some sprightly young flippitigibbit desperate for attention, not a 64-year-old who ought to know better.

And yet, there’s something oddly delightful about it! Far from feeling unbecoming, I’ve discovered leaning into this playful swagger brings a surprising sense of liberation. Perhaps it’s never too late to embrace one’s inner show-off and celebrate the body—wrinkles, wobbles and all. Who says the spotlight should only belong to the young?

Week 06 low buy

It's extremely dumb that I considered lying about my spending in a year I made the rules for.

I bought Bea Bellingham mugs on her amazing seconds sale. We went to a wedding with a catered next day brunch so I spent more on drinks (and then road trip snacks) than I normally would have.

I bought a bed set I didn't need but is going to be delightful in the spare room. And it was from the op shop which makes it very easy to justify
