Hi! Let me start by saying how much I love your blog ♡ I need some kdrama recomendations; I'm looking for dramas which have a couple who are in a relationship for a long time and they are getting bored/used to each other and basically how they navigate that and try to make it work again/ try to revive the spark? Hope this makes any sense (fml). Something like Fight my way couple (the second lead couple) Thanks for the help, means a lot! Hope you have a great day :)
Awww, thanks for the love anon! ♡ It means a lot to me :)
I love this ask! K-dramas focus a lot of new love so this was an interesting one to think about. Plus it’s way more accurate to real life.
K-Dramas with Couples Getting Through a Rough Patch.
Because This Is My First Life: Go Rang and Won Seok have been dating for years. They both have different life goals and find themselves fighting and unhappy. Some people didn’t like the resolution of this couple but I found it pretty realistic - this recommendation is the most like Fight My Way.
Go Back Couple: This k-drama is exactly what you’re asking for. The main couple find themselves unhappily married with a baby, and wish they had never met. They wake up one morning to find themselves young and back in college with a chance to start over…separately. Rom com with lots of heart.
Welcome 2 Life: This fantasy drama features a rude and selfish lawyer who is enemies with a lawful cop. He wakes up in a parallel universe where they are happily married with a kid. When he returns to the regular timeline he has lost what he loves and decides to live a different life (much to the cop’s confusion). It’s not really a rough patch but I think it might give you what you’re looking for.
The Package: This drama features a few couples that have hit a rough patch actually! It’s very slice of life so it features an older couple driving one another crazy, a younger couple that aren’t communicating well and actually a lot of healing so…
Her Private Life: Sun Joo and Seong Min are married with a baby and he does something that hurts her. Sun Joo breaks things off and the husband has to figure out how to make things right.
Misty: So…here is when I get crafty and recommend a show I have not seen BUT because I’m on tumblr, I just KNOW the plot line and all of the romance lol. Misty is a news anchor in a failed marriage. I think she is framed for murder so her husband decides to help her and work on the marriage. (I definitely saw an awesome kiss scene!) Plus she’s a super cool strong badass from what I can tell. Now that I see this again, I really should watch it! Update: this one doesn’t count…
My Father Is Strange: I’m not sure if this one totally counts but Hye Yeong and Jung Hwan are a slightly older couple (than the other siblings featured) that move in with the in laws and lets just say that the parents are no joke awful. Living with them causes a lot of misunderstandings and arguments so I feel like it counts :)
Update from @kdramanewbie : Also Cunning Single Lady, Emergency Couple, Discovery of Love and Familiar Wife
