rewatching jane the virgin and remembering that i'm the biggest simp for petra

possibly the best part of the entire Jane the Virgin series is watching Jane and Petra fight through a kiddy jungle obstacle course while their kids watch in amazement

“I’m not a huge baby person, but that is one cute kid.” The narrator says this in 1x22... so now I’m back to thinking Mateo is the narrator and not Jane. 🤔

I am re-watching Season 1 and I remember why I loved this show. SO funny! Side note: Nadine and Michael were a thing for a minute there.

some thoughts about season three after my rewatch

The storyline about Petra being paralyzed hurt more the second time around.

I can no longer hear the word lawyer without automatically thinking of J.R.

Catalina never did give Petra her watch back.

I will never like any Mateo more than I did toddler Mateo.

Rafael is a hypocrite who slept with someone to get Rogelio a part in a film then says THAT to Petra in S4.

They did Michael so dirty.

Still laughing about Dennis suddenly being Michael’s best friend

Alba’s ‘flirting’ with Jorge was amusing

Chuck did lowkey help Petra out

It was stated that Petra and Chuck talked about tons of stuff about Petra and her past so I need to see her doing that with JR it looks like we are gonna get it but I just wanna put that out there

Now that I’ve watched Insecure I can fully appreciate Yvonne Orji

Petra and Jane running for room mom was a good as I remembered 

I totally forgot Fabian was a thing.

Jane being worried about being second place if Rafael and Petra stayed together still annoys me because it never was and has yet to be an issue. 

After all the build up over Jane’s book, I’m really annoyed it flopped. It deserved to be successful. 

Bruce deserved better

Darci deserved better

Scott got what he deserved 

I still think Xiomara and Rogelio were rushed.

I understand the appeal of Petra/Rafael more now, especially after the fake flirting scene.

I will forever hate the reintroduction of the love triangle no matter how brief it was

Petra’s insecurities about being the second choice to Jane now make me appreciate the fact J.R. doesn’t like Jane

The thing Petra pulled on Anezka with Scott’s phone was fucked up. 

Luisa still deserves better
