Starting a Juice Cleanse, Yoga Practice and Daily Blogging
OK- I'm back on track! The Holidays definitely threw me for a loop! I still managed to eat relatively healthy but definitely had more sugar and treats. Onward and UPWARD...
Today Marks the first day that I'm going to be eating raw in preparation for a Juice Cleanse I'm going to be doing starting Monday, January 7th. The Juice Cleanse is Two-Fold.
I'm doing a local/online cleanse with a group of others through StephanieAustin.com, my health coach that I've talked about before. Tonight we're doing our intro meeting with about 6 of us locally as well as an online group.
Starting Monday, though I've also enrolled through Jason Vale's Juicemaster.com Program for their 7 day World Juice Detox Program. I've also talked about Jason Vale a lot on here and his juices and recipes are some of my all-time favorites! He's also having a competition that includes Video Blogging, which I had already wanted to do on this journey.
So, here are my goals for this challenge and I welcome you to join with me, and either way to keep me accountable.
1. Eat completely raw and juice as much as possible (I will be having my coach Stephanie adjust certain foods and eating one salad a day since I am still nursing, however it is safe because my baby is eating mostly solid food.)
2. I aim to blog about my experience, including with Video, everyday of the program to share how I'm feeling and how it's going. This could include me juicing, talking, crying, doing yoga, who knows! But it will be entertaining, that's for sure! :)
3. I am also committing to doing Yoga everyday of this practice. It could be 10 min or 45 min, but I'm going to fit it in. I've been doing Yoga for beginners through Yogaglo.com and just love it as there's different videos, different levels, feelings, etc. I find that Yoga helps me to ground myself, breathe more, and live in the moment- which is a daily goal and hard to do! I am hoping by doing Yoga that the exercise of that will help any emotional issues I'm dealing with in the program
4. I am going to rebound everyday to help release the toxins from juicing. I will be jumping on my trampoline everyday for at least 3 min, as recommended by my health coach! Now I better get that Christmas tree out of the Trampoline's spot! :)
5. I will also be logging all my juices and food intake through Myfitnesspal.com as I've asked my buddies on there to help keep me accountable. Feel free to add me "tianastar" is my username on there.
So- those are my Five Major goals for the program. I'm not setting any weight goals or anything. Of course I hope to shed some pounds, but it's really not the main reason I'm doing this. I'm doing this to help get rid of toxins and bad things in my body. I also want to reset my taste buds and my tummy for better foods long term. I truly want to live this kind of life and be in the best health as possible.
I would love to hear your questions/comments and if any one wants to join me, I would really love that. And if you're not joining me, I'd really love some encouragement as I'm anxious about this as I've never done anything like this before. I really want to stick to it and not make any excuses or cheat at all. It's my body, MY LIFE and I want to be 100% committed to this and anything I put my mind, heart and body to!
