🎵 SONG-TO-GO 🎵
Friday is here, so I've got another Song-To-Go poll hot n' ready to go for you!
If you're new, hello and welcome! Song-To-Go is a weekly song poll released every Friday where I present you with new, lesser-known songs to listen to while you scroll.
As always, choose songs based on the 30-second Spotify snippets if you don’t know them (and I try to make sure there’s always something you won’t know). If you like what you hear, go listen to the full songs, they’re yours to carry along on your scroll!
[latest poll, and playlist of everything so far (in order) and other/future picks]
I've slightly fallen off the radar in recent weeks (been sort of on holiday, sorry!), so to make up, here have 7 songs this week!
Order #9? Your songs are hot-to-go!
SPRINTS - Literary Mind
Orla Gartland - Backseat Driver
JULES IS DEAD - Red Is My Favorite Color
Yves Jarvis - For Props
Chloe Qisha - Scary Movie
Sage Todz - O Hyd
The Great Leslie - These Days
This week, I have for you one of my top albums of 2024, punky rock from Dublin band Sprints, Irish cult indie rock/pop icon Orla Gartland (who also has a song with Declan McKenna on this album that is also quite catchy), some Canadian pop punk from Jules Is Dead, Canadian jazz musician who so easily moves from jazz to RnB to indie to rock, Yves Jarvis, London pop musician debutante, Chloe Qisha, Welsh rapper Sage Todz, whose version of Yma O Hyd (O Hyd) brought a Dafydd Iwan 60s protest folk classic up to speed in time for the 2022 Welsh Euro qualifier games. If you like his cover though, check out his latest original song Rhedeg (Run). Then there’s some catchy indie rock from London’s The Great Leslie, who are also supporting Franz Ferdinand on one of their UK dates next year!
Let me know what you liked! Reblog, tell me all about it, tell all your friends that they can find cool new music here, I try and have a bit of something for everyone each week. Anything you'd like to hear more of? I'm all ears.
Come back next week and hopefully I'll be here behaving posting a new Song-To-Go poll 😭 In the meanwhile, happy listening!
