Game Night Interrupted (3/3)
Prompt: After a villain escapes Peter is forced to reveal his identity but so are MJ and you.

“What's the plan here?” You ask her as you walk over to Rhino who was walking towards Spider-man unconscious body.
“I’ll freeze him on the spot and you knock his ass out, duh.” She says without questioning it for a second which you makes you laugh but also wonder how long since you started training had she wanted to do this.
She uses runs over to Rhino who looks up in surprised and confused. She starts using his powers and puts ice blocks on his feet and moves up to his knees and as he attempts to break the ice with his hands you jump in.
“Bridge!” you yell as you start running. MJ uses one hand to keep Rhino in place and the other to make a bridge to match his height. You run up it trying not to slip and once you reach the top you jump down to use the height momentum to deliver a sucker punch to Rhino’s face. He stumbles back and breaks the eyes on his feet. From the corner of your eye, you see Spiderman standing up and swinging over.
“Done with your nap, spidey?” You wink at him as he looks from you and MJ back to Rhino’s now unconscious body.
“Wha-How?”
“Keep up, dude” MJ says as she climbs up Rhino and freezes his hands and feet to the ground to make sure he doesn’t escape.
After MJ and you took down Rhino government agents showed up. They injected Rhino with an anesthetic and broke the ice to take his body back to a more secure prison. MJ made a comment about how he should’ve been in the ‘more secure’ prison since the beginning. You awkwardly smiled at the agents as you tried to stifle a laugh and pulled her away before she could piss anybody off.
“MJ!” you whisper yelled.
“What? I am right.” she crossed her arms. You laughed and walked up to Happy, who was yelling at someone on the phone, to ask him were Peter and Ned had gone but before you get there you hear Ned calling and waving you over. He was standing outside the doors of a small black van with medical written on the side in big white letters. As you get closer you see Peter was inside having his arm patched up by a nurse.
“You okay...Spider-man?” you ask using his super name since he had the mask on still and the nurse was still present. You see a gash on his arm from the glass window Rhino sent him through and become worried which he picks up on right away.
“Yea, I’m- I heal quickly, don’t worry. Could you give us a few minutes?” he asks the nurse.
“Yep, just take this when you get home to help with the pain.” He hands Peter the bottle and gets up. As soon as he is gone you all climb inside to talk and Ned closes the door before bombarding you guys with questions.
“How long have you guys had these powers? Did you also get bit by a spider? Or was it something else?” Ned questioned with a huge smile on his face.
“Wait, Also?,” you look a Peter and remember the day you went on a trip and he got lost in the restricted area and when he returned he told you he got bit by a spider on the trip but kept refusing to go to the nurse to avoid getting into trouble, “I told you to get that checked.”
“I was but then-then I got powers and I didn’t want someone to know so I didn’t get it checked and became a superhero instead.” He shrugged as if it was obvious and took off his mask, his hair all over the place and a bruised eye. You instinctively reached up and caressed his face gently. He leaned into it with a faint smile.
“I’m gonna be fine,” he whispered, “You guys were like amazing out there, though. I’m- when did you guys learn to do all that?” he sat up with curiosity all over his face that matched Ned’s.
“We were born like this actually,” MJ said as she leaned back on the van resting her head on the metal. You look at them nervously. People getting powers was somehow more normal than being born with them. And mutants didn’t exactly have a good reputation which forced people like MJ and you to keep it a secret from the world.
“What do you mean born with them? Like mutants?” Ned asked as he moved closer and closer with excitement.
“Well, our powers kicked in after the attack on New York years ago and we told our parents' mom freaked out at first but our dad knew all about being born...gifted so he trained us. We haven’t done any superhero stuff yet because he wanted us to complete training,” you explain.
“So you are mutants?” Peter asked frowning. You nod carefully and await their response but only a second goes by when Ned jumps up in excitement.
“All my friends are super! I’m the guy in the chair for three superheroes, this is going to be awesome. What are your powers exactly? When can we go on missions together?”
“I got ice and Y/N has super strength and-”
Ned interrupted MJ as he went into another rant. He started talking about more vigilante stuff and while exciting MJ and you agreed that when this happened you would work as a team, which meant making the decision as a team.
“This is going to be fun, it really will be! We need to come up with names and costumes-”
“Ned, hey, how about we let them decide if they want to do that in the first place. They just revealed they had powers to the world how about we give them a minute?” Peter looked at Ned who sat down but looked at us waiting for an answer.
You and MJ make eye contact and as you look at each other the answer is clear.
“Let’s kick some ass as a team.”
