A mission relatively similar to all others, Go in, do something, get out again, nothing new for the crew made up of half civilian and half navy. Landing in an ambush they dare an emergency jump. The already hot jump drive malfunctions, sending the hypermetric ripple straight through the ship. Rendering everyone except the now altered Martin unconscious. In a desperate attempt to save everybody on ship he sends out an emergency signal. In hope that anybody or anything would save them, except for the weeds.
