As a mother I've been tasked with the shaping of little minds and the training of their hearts. It's a very heavy responsibility and I often doubt myself. But sometimes there are moments that they do things that make me have faith in myself again. It's often little things, like how Bohemian Rhapsody is my oldest's favorite song or how cute they are singing along to Fall Out Boy with their Aunt and me. But sometimes it's the lack of something. Like watching the new season of The Dragon Prince, and they didn't react differently to Runaan and Ethari's relationship. No reaction at all to "his husband" it was just a completely normal thing in this cartoon that we watch together. My youngest ships Amara and Junai and she doesn't even know what shipping is because she's four, but when I told her what she signed about Junai thinking she's cute Lily said "duh!". That I've managed to make this something that they just accept no questions asked, that makes me proud. I'm doing my part in making the next generation better than the last, it's slow and it's hard but they're the future and they're going to make it better. I just want better for my girls than what I had growing up

June X Kanaya: the only good endgame hs2 ship

Ooohhh I love the uprising of this particular ship in face of everything that’s happening on HS^2, I can honestly see it happening on the Candy timeline, but I hope it’s when Kanaya is more Emotionally Stable.

I don’t think I have any particular headcanons or anything on it just now. Especially because of Candy timeline, I can only think of Kanaya as sad about things.

I can see older June as a cheesy auntie who just sort of chills with her business wife. She’s reluctant to participate in large social events that Kanaya likes to go to, but goes anyways. Kanaya and the Egbert Household fit into that “American Suburban Family” shit, except that they can find ways to play with it on a healthy way when they are together.

June and Kanaya are also both very sincere. J is very straight-forward and well meaning, and Kanaya is very upfront and sort of dry, so they can both be really sarcastic on a funny way. So they can totally snark off.
