Today was a day of doodles for Toffebruary Day 14: Ships

Most of these Valentine's Day sketches are canon in some way to my Disgrace AU; except for Double Trouble, I suppose, but we'll get to that later. (Also, not sure if I've mentioned it on this blog or not, but I headcanon Toffee as bi-romantic demisexual.)

1. Of course I had to draw some ToffeexJuno in their Pie Island outfits.

2. And of course I had to draw some teen puppy love Eclipsafee, complete with the feathered brooch he made for her (it was supposed to be earrings, but he realized too late that her ears weren't pierced).

3. I guess my new What-If ship is Toffee x Double Trouble from She Ra? Yeah yeah, I know it's probably lame to ship something just cos they're both lizards, but I think their personalities would mix well together. Plus, I've had in mind for awhile that Toffee would have a brief fling with one of Ludo's soldiers who happens to be non-binary, and until I design that character I'm just gonna put Double Trouble in their place.

4. And, finally, my WIP design for Moon's father Lazlo Marmalade. No, he's not from Mewni. Yes, he's basically a satyr. And, yeah, Toffee has met and had a crush on him in his adventures (Toffee's got a thing for tall people). But Toffee didn't realize he was Moon's father for many many years.

I hate Toffee's outfit here, but I'm still not sure what to draw him wearing in his youth. Especially since he just escaped from an asylum here and had to steal some random clothes really quickly, so I doubt he had a lot of options.

There's nothing I can do to stop him...

Juno thought helplessly, as Jester, so enraptured by the Call, so far gone, plunged into the well. Juno clenched her fists, and got back up.

...but at least I can follow him in.

She sprinted forward and dove into the gold water after him. She could feel herself being pulled instead of just sinking, faster and faster in a rising current. At least this water was leading somewhere instead of pulling them to a dead end to drown. She caught up to Jester in seconds, but her poor friend was too focused, too hypnotized to notice her reaching out to him. Juno propelled herself forward and crashed into him, grabbing onto him for dear life as they tumbled and somersaulted in the water, until at last they faced each other as they fell downward and downward. His eyes radiated their yellow glow more brightly than ever before, and the familiar gold sparkles in his eyes during these stupors started to shift and turn into violet clouds.

Please, you have to wake up!

She grasped his shoulders tightly and looked into him. His eyes focused back on hers. He bore his teeth, his brows furrowed, agitated at being interrupted in his quest again. But then his widened in recognition. His mouth gaped open, and he blinked heavily several times. The glow started to disappear, and Jester was taken aback at the sight of Juno, at the feeling of falling, at the idea that he'd led them to their doom in another magical stupor....at the feeling of falling with her.

"Juno...," he mouthed.

You're back. That's all that matters.

Juno's heart raced. Whatever the Call that waited for them at the bottom of the well, at least now they'd face it together. Juno pulled Jester into a tight embrace as they rushed through the golden waters.

I've got you. I'm here.

If you asked her before she ran off to the Realm of Magic, she'd say her greatest fear is losing her child...

But since that's already happened, we'll go with "facing the man she believes she turned her husband into".

If Juno's memory were still intact, she'd blame herself for leaving Toffee to suffer alone. And she'd definitely be afraid to face him again, believing he hates her for leaving.

Sketch dump of Juno and Toffee just together in general. Because, dammit, these two deserve a happy ending...even if I refuse to give them one just yet.
