I used a very old animation from '16/'17 possibly as a placeholder but thanks to it I was able to get this to work pretty quickly. Maybe I should use shitty placeholders more often?
Anyway it's not prince of persia levels of gameplay but having the auto mantle has opened up my level design options a little without messing with her jump height ;]
Platform shooter mixed with survival horror
Heyas, before I do make a steam page for Junk Sec, I've gone and made one on itch for people to follow, hopefully I'll find the time to do some devlogs too!
More ways to deal with this one enemy. Of course now I need to figure out how to make them an actual threat…
ATM they are falling over on a random chance every time they get hurt and it triggers way too often..
So I got this new UI working. The nicest new feature of it is the little mini-inventory off to the side, letting you know if you have space left in your case.
Actually working on my game again, it's so weird. Got a working pistol in. A lower tier than the one I started off making, you'll be using this guy whenever you can't find ammo for anything else!
Nice way to ease myself back into the mess that is my firing, reloading and inventory systems. There's a lot of shit in here that's hard coded for some reason, which I actually went and untangled..
Animated a heap of this guy before my son was born but this week I went and implemented him. Some of the regular weak zombies will tear their arms free when injured and grab you from afar! It's pretty gross!
Well so ok.. hear me out. I hated how wide everything was.. so... so I redid my UI again..
I was having issues with how wide every single room was at this resolution, it was giving you a lot of opportunities to snipe at a creature instead of engaging properly. So I've tightened things up a bit.
