It’s bad that porn is censored and you need your ID to access it. It’s bad that weird art is censored and considered an excuse to be sanist, ableist and otherwise deplorable. It’s bad that dark romance, dead dove, otherwise heavy media has to be clean, has to have a “reason” to exist, has to be “dark” but not “too dark”. It’s bad that you don’t say words like rape, sexual abuse, murder, predator, so on and so forth online for fear of being censored or demonetised. You don’t need to like it to understand that a lack of its existence is your canary in the coal mine.

There’s no such thing as “a little censorship”. It’s only “a little” until the goalposts are moved to include everything.

man it is truly amazing how our perception of things lasting “for a very long time” has been so distorted like I was watching a youtube video where they used a blender and they were like “oh this blender has lasted so long! it’s been 2 years” like bro listen, my mom has kitchen appliances still in working order that she bought 30 years ago, we have some stuff that was my grandma’s that still works just fine, like i feel nowadays we truly don’t understand how even just some decades ago stuff was built to last for the rest of your fucking life
