The thousandth of a second of pure, unadulterated dread in which you frantically and futilely calculate whether or not the bullet will find its mark. The relief that floods your system when you walk away with your body intact. You find it funny how concern for the lives of your allies is pushed to the very end as you watch Sean fall to the ground with one too many orifices in his skull.

You barely have time to process his fall as someone, Arthur, grabs your wrist and throws you behind cover. Your instincts kicking you into autopilot, you shoot back in the general direction of your assailants, but you dare a glance at Sean’s body lying in the dirt, stained red from blood and dust. And in that moment you are filled with nothing but rage and the burning necessity to kill as many Greys as you can set your sights upon.
