For the prompt - Bilbo finding Thorin in the forge, working. Also, the sweaty King has no shirt.
If Bilbo had spent less time ogling Thorin in the forge, and more time watching his footing, this would never have happened. _____ Bilbo nodded, backing away. He still felt a little flustered, and he was sure his face was red as a beet.
‘Try not to get lost again,’ Thorin smiled.
‘I’ll try my chest – best! I’ll try my best!’ Bilbo could have kicked himself over the blunder, but as it turned out he didn’t have to.
Thorin’s face transformed from an infuriatingly knowing smirk into a look of panic. He reached out with a hand, stepping forward quickly, ‘Bilbo, look out!’
A Merrier Place by Avelera

Thorin comes into his quarters one day to find a cat lounging on his desk. Nothing could make his day worse.
And then the cat takes up all of Bilbo's time, and Thorin finds out that yes, it can get worse, and yes, he's jealous of a cat.
Or: The one where Thorin can't get the right words to come out, the cat hates him, and Bilbo is unaware he's being pined after.
One-shot. Prompt response.

Everyone is born with the last words they will hear from their soulmate written on their inner wrist.
For Bilbo, it reads: If more people valued home over gold, this world would be a merrier place.
For Thorin, it reads: The eagles are here.
But there are many other ways it could have gone.
(Now with an alternative ending.)

A belated birthday present to the lovely mithrilbikini!
Recently mith reblogged a tumblr prompt to do with height differences which stated:
“You’re afraid that you’ll lose me in big crowds so you always hold my hand but now you just hold my hand when there’s only, like, five people around and I’m getting very suspicious.”
And I thought this one would be perfect for our pair of dorks given that Bilbo would probably be a lot smaller than most dwarves and likely get lost or trampled in crowds.
Enjoy!

After Smaug has destroyed Lake-Town, Nori believes he's finally used up all of Bofur's luck. But he should know better than that by now.
The bastard is always somehow still lucky.
At a Wedding by femmebingley

“I speak of Thorin’s marriage,” Dain announced.
Bilbo’s mind stuttered to a stop. “What?”
“Thorin’s upcoming marriage. It is widely expected.”
Everything in the Great Hall suddenly seemed louder, almost suffocating. A cold tension swept through Bilbo’s body as the idea tried to take hold. Thorin? Marriage? To whom?
No Place Like Home by teaDragon

A year after the quest, Bilbo finds himself cold, lonely and miserable, holed in up some run-down human inn out in the wilds. This isn't how he'd expected to spend his Yule. If he had his way, he'd be warm and happy and surrounded by his dwarves. But with things the way they are, he knows better than to ask for the impossible.
What Bilbo neglected to take into account was the stubbornness of dwarves.

It took three years before the isolation of Bag End became so choking that Bilbo finally set out again to travel the world. Coming back to Erebor was, of course, a complete coincidence and, naturally, he had no intention of seeing Thorin while he was there. After all, the newly-crowned king had made it very clear that he wanted Bilbo to go home...
Of the King and Consort’s Portraits by undomiel (dolcewrites)

There are some matters in life that are important enough to mention once in a while, yet not quite enough that they must be pursued with utmost urgency.
It was in this rather peculiar way of postponing, but not quite forgetting, that it took about a decade for a royal portrait of the King under the Mountain, Thorin Oakenshield, and his Consort Bilbo Baggins, to be finally commissioned, painted, and displayed in the halls of Erebor.

Bilbo claims his share of the treasure and it's a surprise for everyone, especially the treasure himself.
---
"I'm taking you," Bilbo announced with a grin. "I'm taking you as my 14th share of the treasure." Black and silver, grim and perfect, handsome as only a legendary person could be, Thorin slowly turned back.
Nori giggled and Bofur had a coughing fit that didn't disguise his giggling as well as he might have hoped.
"I've read the contract, Thorin!" Bilbo said and crossed his arms. "I've had nothing else to read for months now! And there's nothing there that prevents me from claiming a member of the Company as my treasure." Joking was better than admitting anything. Bilbo could be just as stubborn, and he's had enough and a cough for that stupidly gorgeous dwarf king. "Because Balin is either a wicked matchmaker or losing his touch."
Yarn for sale (coming soon!)
I got my hands on a load of skeins of "Premium Wool" (says the factory label).
I'm hand winding them into centre-pull yarn cakes and they come up to about 50grams a cake (some more, some less. I weigh every cake for the label).
Thinking of listing them in my Etsy to clear as I don't have much use for Wool in our tropical climate here. Plus I can't stand the fuzzzzzzz 😂
I've named them myself as The "I-Not-Fussy" yarn cake (bad grammar as a local joke), namesake meaning "just take it, don't ask questions" 😂 because I personally don't know a lot about these yarns' origins except they're made in China of wools from 2 different factories. All information and washing instructions are stated on the label I've done up for them.
As I'm handwinding them manually, I can at least share with you some extra details about the feel of the yarn:
1. They're soft.
2. They're fuzzy.
3. Thickness per skein per colour can be inconsistent.
They are about 10ply, or Aran weight. Some skeins run a bit thinner, some stayed true to Aran thickness. I don't know the yardage.
The assortment pictured is not ALL the colours; I've missed out about 2 more colours I'm aware of. Once I have the time to spare, I will take proper photos of each colour and list everything in my Etsy. You get to choose colour and cake weight - pricing will go according to weight (like grocery shopping 😂).
Keep a follow on me or Favourite my Etsy so you'll be updated when I start listing these yarns.
I am more a yarn user and less a yarn seller so I hope to price them affordably (soooo subjective I know 🤣).
