Maybe there's hope?
Seeing how loved and appreciated Penelope is by the Epic fandom, it makes me wonder if some day we'll see the Loki fandom change their mind about Sigyn.
Because of the roman version of the Odyssey and the Telegony, people had this idea of Odysseus as a cheater. But thanks to Epic, people FINALLY realize how much he loves his wife (and that the Telegony is just a very old fanfic, not canon anyway).
And fans have been embracing Penelope AND Odysseus's faithfullness and fidelity towards each other as a proof of their love towards each other.
Like NO, faithfullness and fidelity are NOT an act of submission or weakness, or because of domestic abuse (THAT IS TOTAL BS )
Does it mean that one day, with the right representation, we could get people rediscovering Loki & Sigyn and actually realizing what a lovely pair they are? The Delight of Loki's Hall and Sigyn's Joy <3
*cries in a corner while listening to 'would you fall in love with me again'*
I'm so glad for Penelope & Odysseus <3
FINALLY SOME JUSTICE FOR THE FAITHFUL WIFE.
*praying now for Sigyn*
