It was a nice afternoon, the perfect time to take Bunny (your dog) on a walk. You just moved to this neighborhood because they had a dog park nearby. “Bunny wanna go outside?” you call out while pulling the pink harness off the hook.

You hear fast footsteps hitting the tiles as Bunny sprints to you with her tongue hanging half out of her mouth. She stops in front of you with her tail wagging happily at your suggestion. “Sit” she looks up at you and sits.

“Good girl” you praise her while pulling the harness over her head and tugging to make sure it’s secure before you pass her a treat. You stare at her after getting the harness on you’re in shock at how big she’s gotten and she’s only eight months old.

The animal shelter warned you that her breed gets bigger. She’s a Great Dane mixed with a Pitbull. You didn’t want a large dog but when you found out she was going to be euthanized if she wasn’t adopted you couldn’t let that happen.

She looks back at you with her head cocked to the side. The look she gave you made you laugh. “You’re in a hurry huh?” She barks at you standing wagging her tail again showing you how eager she is to go out. “Alright, alright” you say.

You grab her bag of all her necessities including your keys as you head out the door. Before entering the dog park you saw a young man on a bicycle being chased by a pack of dogs. It looked as if he had meat dangling from the bottom of his bike.

“I hope that idiot doesn’t have plans to come to the dog park” you thought to yourself. You open the gate to the park and walk Bunny inside. You let her play around and do her business before deciding it was time for a break.

You lay out a little blanket and pull two foldable bowls out Bunny’s bag. You pour some water in one and a scoop of dog food in the other. Bunny happily drinks her water. You hear a loud commotion coming from the front of the park. You’re curious about what’s going on and you tell Bunny to stay as you stand on the bench to see what’s going on.

You’re not worried about Bunny taking off, she's well trained and you only plan to take a look. Once you get high enough on your toes you see the young man being chased by dogs from earlier. Many dog owners are trying to get a hold of their dogs as he rides through the park.

Another young man stops and shouts at you. “HEYY PLEASE CATCH MY DOG” you see a small fluffy brown dog rushing towards you as the man on the bike flies right past you. You hop off the beach and squat down scooping up the brown dog before it gets past you.

The guy who shouted at you stops before you out of breath. He’s bent over with his hands on his knees sweat dripping from his forehead “Tha-nk you” he says finally standing up to get his puppy back. “No problem” you say smiling.

“This is my dog Bunny” you say gesturing at the dog sitting beside the bench. His eyes grew wide for a split second seeing the size of your dog. “She doesn’t bite, she's very friendly” you say, bending down to pet her.

“I saved her from the shelter she was scheduled to be euthanized” upon hearing that he doesn’t seem concerned with her size like before. You’re well aware many fear big dogs but to you she’s a big baby.

“Do you mind if I pet her?” He asks you to shake your head letting him know it’s fine. He hands you his dog so he can pet your dog. He reaches his hand out to let Bunny get used to his scent but it looks like she’s got other plans in mind.

She hops and lands on all fours; she lowers her head to the ground, sticking her back end in the air before charging at the man and tackling him. “HELP ME” he’s shouting while you burst out laughing.

Bunny is on top of his chest licking his face. “Bunny, sit” she listens and you continue laughing while he dusts himself off. “She likes you, she did that to me the day I adopted her” you set his dog down and watch as your dogs play together.

You notice that the guy beside you is very quiet and suddenly his face is really red too. You weren’t going to question anything. “Who rides through a dog park with meat on them?” He finally spoke although you take notice that the topic changed.

Before you could reply something touches your hand. You look down to see a phone sliding over to you. Looking up at him he’s facing the opposite direction but you can see the red tint on his ears. You pick up the phone and the contact name is “your number pls”

You type in your number and lean in with your chest almost flush against his back. You whisper in his ear “it’s cute when you act shy” you can feel him stiffen up which makes you laugh. Although you just met he’s exactly your type.

Checking the time you realize you need to head home. You pack Bunnies things and get ready to say your goodbyes. “I never caught your name” you turn back looking at him. He picks up his dog, also preparing to leave the park by the looks of things. “My name is Juhwan, what’s yours?” “I saved it in your contacts” you say while finally exiting the park.
