When Quiet and the Princess first meet each in the beginning, they don't know each other while Quiet were told by a Narrator that the Princess is a threat to the world that he must slay the save the world. By the end of the whole thing, Quiet and the Princess understand each other as part of a god with Quiet as the Long Quiet and the Princess as the Shifting Mound, leaving together side by side into the world.
