One of the problems (that I don't even know if it's a problem) with Chaos Theory (and Camp Cretaceous) is that a lot of it only really settles in and makes sense on repeated viewings.
Things like relationships feeling rushed, or characters being left out, or focus being mismanaged...it doesn't stick after four viewings because you see what is happening more clearly and pick up the more subtle notes.
Which means that the writers and editors see everything on repeated tests and playbacks and boards and cuts. The crew knows everything works, because it's there!
But it does make it go over the heads of many first-time viewers. Blink-and-you'll-miss-it has drawbacks when it's for things like "these two characters who have been tense for a whole season suddenly got chill with a few words because the camera didn't hold on their surprised faces".
Which is a problem, but also...isn't? I like feeling like the show isn't spoon-feeding me. I don't need long explanations after eighty-four episodes.
