“I just saw the most gorgeous man I have ever seen in my entire life.”
Iwaizumi's face scrunches in confusion and indignation on the other side of the call.
"Princess, with all due respect, what the fuck are you talking about?" He asks, looking around subtly to see if people around were hearing his half-harsh words.
"Not only he's gorgeous, but he's super pretty too. Ugh, his eyes! I could stare at them forever."
"Y/n, I swear to God, if you're talking about an anime character again..."
"No, Haji, he's a real man, he's like three meters away from me right now- Oh God, he just flexed his jaw, I think I might die from his hotness."
Hajime’s blood was boiling inside. Why the hell would you call your boyfriend to talk about some other guy’s looks?! Was he not attractive enough? Was he lacking something?
“Sheesh, this man has muscles, I mean, his arm? Maybe I should take a picture of his biceps.”
“Y/n, can you sto-”
“He’s wearing a tight polo shirt and sweats, maybe he just got out of the gym?”
Wait a minute.
“What did you say about his eyes?”
“Oh, his eyes.” You sigh dreamily. “So green and so pretty. Oh, he’s smiling now. Haji, he has the most beautiful smile ever.”
“Is that so?”
“Yep. He could be a model if he wanted to. Do you think I should get his number? Though I doubt he’s single, it might be worth a try.”
“What about me?”
“Sorry, Haji, but this man is so freaking pretty, I just can’t help it.”
“Do whatever you want, Y/n. I wish you and the pretty boy all the happiness in the world.”
“Thank you, Hajime. Farewell.”
Iwaizumi ends the call and slips his phone in his pocket. After a few seconds he feels someone tapping his shoulder.
“Can I help you?”
“Sorry, I was standing there and I just could help but notice how handsome you are.” You smile smugly at him.
“Oh, thank you, you don’t look that bad either.”
You pout at his words and he has to hold himself back not to kiss the tiny space between your furrowed eyebrows. You slap his chest but he doesn’t budge, instead a light chuckle escapes his lips.
“You’re no fun, Haji.”
Your boyfriend wraps his arms around you and pulls you closer, giving you a kiss on your forehead while you make yourself comfortable against his chest.
“You need to stop these pranks, I never fall.”
“You almost fell, I could hear your anger in your voice.” He looks to the side, annoyed.
“You called me and started talking about some other guy of course I would be angry.”
“No need to worry, Haji, like I said, you’re the most gorgeous man I have ever seen in my entire life.” Your arms lock around his neck to bring him down, you pamper his lips with quick pecks, causing him to chuckle. “My Pretty Boy.”
Atsumu is used to being used. In the beginning, it hurt, he got ready to go on a date, took them to a nice restaurant, treated them right like Mama Miya taught him to, paid for the bill, then when he realized his date was on his bed and the next thing he knew he woke up alone, no trace of his previous night’s company and no text back, not a call, a DM, absolutely nothing.
He didn’t give up though, he was pursuing a real relationship, a connection with someone, anyone, who would be by his side every day, love him, and be loved by him. But the more he searched for it the farther away it felt. Almost like it was unattainable and for someone who worked for everything and strived to gain everything it was a foreign feeling.
Every single date ended up the same way, nail scratches on his back, hickeys on his neck, and the other side of the bed cold. He stopped using Tinder and Grindr, but even the pretty people he met in coffee shops or at parties treated him the same way. Like all that he was good for was his body, for the third leg in his pants, the ability to make them feel good.
During some random 3 a.m thoughts, Atsumu became sure that maybe love just wasn’t for him, actually, maybe it wasn’t for someone like him. Perhaps he was a dick like many said many times before and people only saw him as a sex toy, a disposable human dildo with no feelings or emotions, no one that important or special to be something more in their lives. He felt like he was indispensable, and for someone who on the court was not, it felt weird to be so indispensable in real life. Like his emotions were invalid, that his wants and desires were not treasured. That night he also decided that maybe that’s just how his life is going to be.
So he became used to it, he believed in it. Just like everything else in his life, he strived to be the best sex toy there would ever be. If his only purpose was sex, the least he could do was provide sexual satisfaction for his partners for those two or three hours he had with them. He found pride in making them roll their eyes to the back of their heads, extract loud moans and screams from the bottom of their lungs, and he thought that maybe there would be something else in the way they say his name, or so he hoped, but his expectations were never reached.
Then he met you, a pretty girl who happened to bump into him randomly while he was entering Onigiri Miya. He caught the way you blushed when your eyes landed on his face and how you became instantly flustered and timid, how you still pushed yourself to engage in a conversation with him despite your light stutter and red cheeks. You even managed to ask him out when he reciprocated his interest.
So he drove to his regular restaurant where he joined you for dinner. He was sure of how this night would end, after all, the shy ones are always the worst. Or so he forced himself to believe. You greeted him with a cheerful smile, asked him for help on what to order since you had never been to that restaurant before, you asked him about what he does for a living and seemed excited about finding out more about his career as a volleyball player, you praised him for following his dreams, told jokes to make him laugh, you kept wanting to know more and more about him, and the most earth-shattering action of yours was that you didn’t throw yourself at him once you stepped out of the place. You two took a walk in a park nearby, laughing and messing around under the bright starry sky, he even stole a kiss from you when he walked you to your car.
He could call this date a success, the first one in a long time where he actually felt good and somehow admired, but there’s this voice in the back of his head that says it’s all too good to be true, one date wasn’t enough for him to know whether or not you were just like the others.
So after texting one another for a few more days, you went on a second date, just as good as the first one. You took him to a dog café near your house, where you go to relax when college gets on your nerves. A brown dachshund seemed to be very fond of the blond man, he followed him around and laid on his feet when he sat down, scratching his leg every now and then as if demanding to be petted.
The both of you enjoyed the tiny creature’s company and each other’s. Atsumu found himself beginning to get attached to you but at the same time not being able to let himself feel completely, the annoying voices in his head saying he wasn’t worthy of anything more than sex taking the best of him. It was hard, every time he texted you he awaited the typical “wyd?” or “wanna come over?” that he just seems to expect from every girl. He was close to ghosting you because he liked you too much to have you just leave after a one-night stand, but he figured one more date wouldn't hurt anyone, would it?
>> ‘hey, sweetheart, are you free today?’’
<< ‘i am in the afternoon :)’
>> ‘wanna hangout?’
>> ‘ofc, can we have an stay in-date though? we could watch netflix or smt, but my roommate is studying so can it be at your place? I don’t want to bother them with noise’
‘sure, come over ;)’
In all honesty, Atsumu is kind of disappointed. Everyone knows what ‘watching netflix’ actually means, and he really thought you were different. Still, he tidies up his place, changes the bedsheets, takes a shower, and makes sure he’s got everything shaved.
After twenty minutes, there’s a knock on his door.
“Hi, Atsu.” You sing, stepping in to give him a hug and a kiss on his cheek.
“Hey, Sweetheart. Come on in, make yourself at home.”
You walk further into his apartment and sit on the couch.
“I brought some snacks for us!” You say, taking them out of your purse and setting them on his coffee table.
He chuckles at your excitement and joins you on the sofa. Atsumu had already prepared a movie, the same one that he has watched a hundred times before but never paid attention to, he thinks he’s the only netflix subscriber who watches it since it is his go-to movie for moments like this.
He presses play and shifts a little closer to you. You keep your eyes attentive to the big screen and hands automatic on the food wrappings, slowly noticing how your date keeps getting closer and closer subtly. You smile to yourself and finish what he started, laying your head on his shoulder. He throws his arm around your waist to pull you closer and pulls your legs to rest on his, then puts his free hand on your arm, softly caressing your skin.
You look up to him with a smile and he stares at you for a few seconds before diving in for a kiss. It’s a simple kiss at first, a soft press of lips perfectly placed on each other, but when you start to pull away Miya’s hand brings you back to it, with more intensity than before.
He keeps kissing you simply for a few moments, then presses your bodies together and grips your hips. The sudden movement makes you gasp, and he takes advantage of this to slip his tongue into your mouth. Atsumu’s kisses are intoxicating, overwhelming, and devoting. You start to melt under his ministrations, completely hypnotized by him.
Your hands climb to his face, one cupping his jaw and the other going higher to tangle in his hair. He hums when your nails scratch his scalp, head throwing back a bit to prolong the touch.
You finally pull your mouth back to get some much-needed air but keep your forehead pressed on his. Miya leans back on the backrest, painting just as much as you, and grabs the hem of his shirt. He starts to pull it upwards, displaying his defined abs and when he’s halfway through it he hears your yelping. He slips his head off of the fabric and looks to the side to see you with your hands covering your eyes.
He chuckles under his breath, finding it cute how you got flustered. Atsumu grabs your wrists and pulls them down.
“It’s okay, Pretty, you can look.” He smirks.
Then he switches to his sweats, undoing the little rope knot, and you panic when the realization hits you. You look around quickly and spot the bathroom door open in the hall, without thinking twice you sprint there and close the door behind you, leaning your back on it.
You can feel your face burning hot, after all, you just saw a volleyball player’s well-worked body, how could you not get flustered over that? You feel yourself scream internally because damn did his kisses fluster you as well, but what was he doing? Is this what he wanted? Was this all you were to him? A quickie after all the dates?
Atsumu slips his shirt back on and gets up from the couch, more confused than he’s ever been. Was this not what you wanted?
“Y/n, what's wrong? Are you okay?” He asks over the door.
“No! Yes! Ah! I don’t know!” You bury your face in your hands in frustration. “Are you dressed?”
“Yeah.”
You turn the doorknob and open it slowly, peaking out to check if he’s actually dressed. He might’ve put his shirt inside out but that’s not the point right now. You look at him and all you can think of is his six-pack, which is not helpful to your attempts of clearing the blush on your cheeks.
“Are you okay?” He asks again.
“What’s wrong with you?”
“What do you mean what’s wrong with me? What’s wrong with you?”
“Me?!”
“Yes, you!”
“Atsu, what?! You just, you just came out of nowhere with that? I mean I’m flattered but.”
“What do you mean out of nowhere? Isn’t this what you wanted??”
You look at him bewildered. Have you shown him any signs that he misunderstood?
“What are you talking about?”
“You came over to ‘watch netflix’ as in have sex, right?”
You’re sure your eyes might fall off your face if you widen them anymore. You blink a couple of times, completely in disbelief of the situation you’re in.
You start walking back to the living room and sit on the couch, proceeding to put on your shoes.
“So, are we having sex or not? Are you a virgin? Is that why you’re so flustered?”
“What?! No! I’m not a virgin, I just don’t want to have sex with you!”
“Oh.”
“Um, well if that’s the case then why are you even here? What more besides sex could you want from me? I don’t have much to offer.” he murmurs.
Suddenly, Atsumu feels something hurting inside his chest. You just rejected him, more specifically his body, the one thing he believed he had to offer. Was he not even worthy of that? What was this feeling in his chest? It felt worse than when he woke up in the morning alone, again. It felt like someone was slowly carving his heart out. Like he couldn’t even feel himself breathe properly.
“No, I mean- I do want to have sex with you but we’re not even boyfriend and girlfriend yet and I’m not ready for it right now.”
You start rethinking all the moments you spent with Miya. Did you misread the whole thing? Did you ignore the red flags and signs he gave you on dates?
“Was sex all you wanted?” You ask, standing up from the sofa. “I thought you were after a relationship like I was, but if sex is all you want then I guess this ain’t going to work, Miya.”
“No! I want a relationship too! It's just that- I thought that was what you wanted ‘cause all the people I’ve been with before were with me only because that’s what they wanted and after they had it they left. I just assumed, no I let myself believe that you were the same. You aren't, you hadn’t even tried on our first date, but then I read your text about wanting to stay in and it just, it just felt like ‘oh, this is it.’ I just, it’s easier to let them get what they want and sacrifice what I want instead.
You catch the way his voice slightly cracks when he says that, the sudden shine on his eyes that is quickly blinked away as he pushes his emotions away.
“Atsu…”
He looks down to his feet, he digs his nails in his palms, he holds his breath, he does everything he can think of to stop the tears from flooding his eyes.
“Look i’m sorry that I made a move on you, I really fucked it up this time huh? You’re free to leave if you want.”
He attempts to turn away, but you walk over to him and take his face in your hands gently, slowly making him look up to you.
“You are way more than just a sexual being, Atsumu.”
That was his last straw. He couldn't keep his tears away any longer. And he lets them fall, he lets them hit your skin and make your fingers wet.
You guide him to sit on the couch with you and pull him to a hug, securing a hand in the back of his head while he sobs into your chest. Your heart breaks as you watch him, the man you so admired for his confidence. His ability to just simply be who he is so effortlessly. Like he knew who he was, what he was here to achieve in this short life span that we are all given.
“Atsumu, you are so much more than that. You’re funny, you’re kind, you’re passionate, you’re sincere, you’re brave, confident, you light up the room you’re in. And you are attractive, you are handsome, very very very handsome, but that’s not all you have to offer, it’s not your only trait. It’s not the trait that describes you as a whole.”
He sniffs and controls his hiccups, slowly getting out of your embrace and wiping his tears.
“I’m sorry.” He starts. “I’m really sorry. I probably made you uncomfortable. And now I’m crying, God, you must think I’m pathetic.” He breathes out.
You soften your eyes and help him dry his cheeks.
“There you go again with that self-degrading talk, I don’t think you’re pathetic, Atsu, you’re far from that. And it’s okay, it’s all just a misunderstanding. Look at me.” You order, then hold his hand. “I’m going out with you because I like you. I’m interested in you, in your personality. In who you are as a person, the things you stand for, the jokes you make, the confidence you exude, I would never use you for your body and walk away right after. I would use your body and then make you breakfast in the morning.”
He chuckles at your last statement and twists his hand to intertwine your fingers together.
“Thank you, Y/n. I needed that.”
You smile sweetly at him and lean in to kiss his cheek.
“No problem, Atsu. Whenever you need to be reminded of how amazing you are just tell me.”
Atsumu pulls you into a hug, before basically becoming dead weight over your body on the couch, determined to get cuddles while washing all the sadness away.
Maybe it would take a little while for him to completely understand he’s more than just what his body can offer, but he knows you’ll be there to show him what he deserves all the way.
♡ IWAIZUMI eats his bento like usual. There’s nothing odd about it, but for some reason that you can’t quite figure out why, he just looks extremely attractive today. Maybe it’s the sun hitting his skin and making him glow? Or the way his eyes seem greener than usual?
“You’re pretty.”
Hajime turns to you with the most confused expression you’ve ever seen.
“Huh?”
“You are pretty, Iwa.”
You catch the way his cheeks slowly turn into a light shade of pink, only adding to the eye-pleasing sight that is Iwaizumi Hajime.
“I’m not pretty.” He mumbles, turning back to face forward and continue eating.
“Yes, you are.” You sing.
“Am not.”
“Are too.”
“At least say I’m handsome.”
You lean closer to him with a shit-eating grin that makes him roll his eyes.
“You are very much handsome, Iwa. But you’re way prettier than that.”
"What's gotten into you?"
"What? Can't I tell my friend he looks pretty when he does?"
"Say that again and you'll be more than just a friend." He whispers.
"What was that?"
"Nothing."
♡ AONE takes his pet turtle gently in his hands to show him to you. You've been insisting that he lets you meet his pet since you found out he had one, so after your exams were done, Takanobu invited you over so you could hang out and meet his turtle.
You find adorable the way he handles the tiny animal with so much care, it's funny seeing someone so big being so delicate.
You stare at him while he caresses the turtle with his index finger. His face is relaxed, his eyes are kind, and during the time you analyze his face with more focus and detail you realize something that it’s quite obvious but never caught your attention before.
“You’re pretty, Aone.”
“Yeah, he’s pretty.” He responded, thinking you were talking about his pet.
“No. I mean, yes, he’s pretty, but I meant you.”
“Me?” He asked, pointing at himself.
“Yes, you.”
His face quickly tuned into a dark shade of red while you smiled at his reaction.
“You’re prettier, Y/n.” He says, avoiding eye contact with you.
“Aw, thank you, Aone.”
“Um, can I hug you?”
“Anytime.”
Aone put the turtle on its aquarium and wrapped his arms around your waist, burning his face on your neck to hide how he turned even more flustered when you rubbed your hands up and down his back.
♡ MEIAN has you laying on his chest while he rests. He has his eyes closed but you know he’s not sleeping since he keeps a hand playing with your hair.
Shugo never really lets you stare at him, and how couldn’t he? You have a whole hot ass boyfriend right in front of you and he expects you to not admire him? The audacity.
You take advantage of the moment and position to stare as long as you want. Then you bring a hand to his face, softly tracing his features.
“You like the view?” He teases.
“Very much, yes. You’re so pretty, Shugo.”
Median’s eyes go wide on that instant, tints of red slowly creeping into his cheeks and ears.
“What did you say?”
“I said that you are so so pretty. The prettiest boy out there. My pretty boy.”
He hugs your waist and flips you over to get on top of you. Meian blows raspberries in your neck while tickling your sides, causing you to laugh loudly.
“Call me pretty boy again, I dare you.”
“Okay, Pretty Boy.”
“Oh, you asked for it.”
Needless to say he kept tickling you until you were both breathless and his blush had tuned down a bit.
♡ KUROO is going through your homework to see if you answered all the questions right. Your chemistry teacher advised you to get tutoring lessons with him since you were having some difficulty with the class’s recent theme. Kuroo is indeed a good teacher and he had an easy method to help you understand better the topics, as your study sessions progressed you became friends and you couldn’t deny you found the volleyball club captain attractive.
You noticed how he slightly narrows his eyes and pouts when he’s concentrated on something and started finding it adorable, something unique of him.
“You know, you’re really pretty, Kuroo.”
“Oya?”
“I said what I said. And I’m probably not saying it again so just enjoy it.” You say, trying to brush off the obvious blush on your cheeks. You didn’t really think before you said it, it was more of a thinking out loud kind of situation.
But Kuroo wasn’t off the hook either, his ear tips were scarlet and his hands started to get a little sweaty, although you don’t know that.
“Oh, so you find me attractive, Y/n-chan?” He asks teasingly while leaning towards your side.
“I never said that.”
“But you said I’m pretty. Really pretty.”
“Okay then, I find you attractive, so what?”
Tetsurou smiles. There’s a tiny trace of a smirk there, but it’s definitely a smile. He tucks a stand off hair behind your ear gently and dips his head down to kiss your cheek.
“I find you attractive too, Y/n. And also really, really pretty.”
♡ TENDOU raises the hairbrush to his mouth and sings with the top of his lungs while pointing at you. You don’t know exactly how your little karaoke session in the middle of your room began, but you never thought you needed to see and hear Satori singing Lady Gaga songs until now.
“Let’s have some fun this beat is sick I wanna take a ride on your disco stick-”
“don’t think too much just bust that kick-”
“I wanna take a ride on your disco stick!”
You sing and laugh as he dances with you around the floor. The only light source is your tv that keeps playing the song’s videoclip, painting your faces with flashing lights and bright colors.
At some point a slower song comes on, and Tendou playfully asks you do dance with him like a gentleman from the previous century. You lock your hands around his neck and he pulls you closer by the waist, softly rocking you side to side.
You take a good look at his features, his colorful hair, his big and soft eyes, you become hypnotized by him, and suddenly you pull him down for a kiss.
“Y/n-chan?!”
You smile at his flustered and confused state and play with his neck hair.
“You’re pretty.”
His blush only seems to get more intense and he avoids eye contact.
“I’m not p-”
You shut him off with another kiss and Tendo swears he’ll melt inside your arms anytime.
“You are the prettiest, Satori.”
♡ DAICHI practices his receives while you watch from the bleachers. You two were going to the movies after class so you were waiting for him to finish.
Your original plan was to do your homework while you waited, but for some reason seeing your best friend practice seemsway more interesting than some math problems.
Maybe it’s the confidence that he shows when he’s on court, or the way he leads the team, or just his practice clothes that suddenly made him look even more attractive. You thanked God he was too involved in the game to notice you staring at him the whole time.
“Okay, I’m done, let’s go?”
You two walk together on the sidewalk in a comforting silence. The sun is setting beside Sawamura and the temperature dropping a little, sending a refreshing breeze to your skin.
You turn to look at him, his beauty continues the same, his strong features, determined eyes, that you just blur it out as if it was the most normal thing ever.
“Daichi, you’re very pretty.”
“Huh?”
He stops in his tracks, looking at you with wide eyes. He thinks he must’ve heard it wrong.
“You’re very pretty.” You repeat.
“Are you calling me pretty?”
“Well, we’re the only ones in the street right now so yeah.”
Daichi blinks a couple of times still in a mix of disbelief and flusteredness.
“I guess I could say you’re beautiful, too.”
“You guess?” You smirk.
“Okay. You’re beautiful, Y/n.”
“Thank you, My Kind Sir. Now let’s go, or we’ll be late for the session.”
summary: your friendly neighborhood spider-man needs your help to treat his wounds
genre: marvel au, fluff, sfw, humor
tw: wounds, blood
You still don’t know how exactly you got involved with him. One day he was your classmate, then you two were assigned to work together on a physics assignment, and the next thing you knew you were keeping Spider-Man's biggest secret, his identity.
Like every other girl in your school, you idolized him - the superhero, not Iwaizumi -. You acted like a fangirl whenever you saw him swinging around the streets or when he showed up on the news after saving people from a fire. Having someone to protect the city made you feel safe because you knew that if you ever needed help, Spider-Man would show up to save you, besides that, not knowing who he was gave him a mysterious and intriguing air. You found yourself awake at night dreaming of who your hero crush was and what he looked like, unbeknownst that he sat only a few desks away from you in class.
At first, you couldn’t comprehend how an eighteen-year-old teenager could be fighting bad guys in the streets when, logically, adults are stronger than him, but after Hajime pulled a truck with his web to save a kid inside it, all your doubts about his powers vanished.
And as much as people think superheroes are untouchable and invincible, even the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man has his bad days, which is why he is knocking on your window right now, trying to get you to let him in.
Iwaizumi can hear the loud music blasting inside the room and moves to the edge of the glass to see past the curtains. A soft smile that hurts his busted lips takes over his face as he sees you dancing in front of your bed with a microphone - also known as your hairbrush - in your hands. He chuckles while you jump in your place with your eyes closed, too emerged in the song to focus on anything else. Hajime could stay there for hours, watching how you act when no one else is around. However, the cut on his side is still bleeding and he needs to put some ice on his left wrist.
So he shifts to the side, behind the cloths covering the windows so you won’t be embarrassed that he was watching your concert, and knocks on the glass hard enough to be heard over the music.
Mere seconds later, you open the windows and let out a tiny gasp when you acknowledge the state he is in.
“Oh my God, Iwa, you look awful.”
“Thank you, you sure know how to flatter a man, Y/n.”
“Just get in already.”
You roll your eyes and tug on his wrist, immediately letting it go once a hiss escapes through his gritted teeth. Iwaizumi slips into your room, careful not to knock anything down as he does so. He plops on the floor and leans his back on your bed, his right-hand touches the side of his ribs, and he feels his fingers getting wet.
“Y/n, can you get the first aid kit, please?” He breathes out and rests his head back on the mattress.
Now that he is in a safe place, far from all the danger, the adrenaline in his veins disappears and he feels his body hurting all over. Maybe he should listen to you for once and go to a hospital to take care of all the injuries that most certainly left sequels behind, but why would he when the hospital doesn’t have the Hello Kitty’s band-aid’s you always put on his wounds?
“You know, I should start charging you, I had to buy three new kits during the past two months, my mom even asked if someone was beating me up at school because of all the ointment I’m using.”
Hajime can’t laugh because of the pain in his toráx, so he settles with a smirk instead. You take a mental picture of the sight. Why do men with busted lips and bloody cheeks smirking look so damn attractive? How is that even possible?
You quickly walk to the bathroom to hide your blushed cheeks, take the white box from the cabin and lock the door once you return to your room. There’s no one home besides you and Iwaizumi, but you rather not take any chances of your parents coming home early and finding someone with you.
When you look at Hajime, you wish you had locked yourself outside of the room. Spider-Man has the upper part of his uniform resting around his hips, his muscular torso exposed and his chest rising and falling quickly. You can swear your cheeks are melting from how hot they feel.
Your moment of thirst is cut short when you take notice of the cut on his rib, it’s not bleeding so much anymore due to the pressure Iwaizumi put on it, but it still looks bad.
“Iwa, what happened?”
You kneel beside him and pull everything out of the box so you can treat him.
“Five guys were breaking into a jewelry store, I went down to stop them, but I didn’t see a sixth guy coming closer. He had a knife, and the rest you know.”
“Don’t you have a sixth sense? How could you not see him coming.”
Iwaizumi takes a deep inhale while you drag a cloth wet with alcohol across his wound.
“I had my mind somewhere else.”
“What could you possibly be thinking of while fighting bad guys?”
“Doesn’t matter right now.” He turns his head to the other side, but not before you catch a glimpse of his reddened cheeks.
With the blood out of the way, you can see the injury more clearly. You wonder if it needs a couple of stitches or not, you’re just a high-schooler after all, you’re definitely not the one Hajime should be going to treat his wounds. But knowing the brunette, he is too stubborn to go to a hospital, so you’ll have to take it into your hands to fix him.
You try your best to stay focused on your task, but the hardened ridges of his muscles call out for you. Just a little glance. It won’t hurt. Yes, it will. We’re only inches away, he won’t even notice you looking at us.
You give in to temptation, and as you apply ointment to the cut you let your eyes shift to the center of his abs. So that is what he’s been hiding all this time. Seijoh’s uniform for sure doesn’t make Hajime justice. His six-pack stares back at you in all its handsome glory, his chest makes you want to lay on it, and his shoulders mock you into thinking of how they move when he’s lifting some weight. Oh, if only you could take a glance at his back to see if it is nearly as perfect as his front, it probably is, even the motherfucker's calves are hot.
Panic settles in when you feel something hot under your hand, only then do you realize your fingers are tracing the edges of his muscles — touching Iwaizumi, touching his abs. You look up to him to find olive eyes already staring at you, seeing through your soul.
You pull your hand back as if he was a walking disease and pretend you’re busy organizing the first-aid supplies while he coughs into his hand.
“The injury is fixed.” You say, clasping your hands together.
“Thanks.” He says, avoiding eye contact with you. “Could you put a band-aid on my cheek?”
You nod and reach out to the Hello Kitty stamped card box on your nightstand, always in sight for unexpected moments - like this one - when your hero comes over.
Hajime lays his head back again and you hover over him, face to face. With a gentle touch, you clean the cut with a cotton ball then place the pink band-aid on his skin. Getting out of your focus, you lock eyes with Iwaizumi, who watched you the whole time you treated his face. You gulp.
“My lip is busted.”
“I can see that.”
Silence.
“Will you treat it?”
“Yes.” You tuck a strand of hair behind your ear and reach out to the kit, but he stops you before you grab it.
“Why don’t you kiss it better?”
Suddenly, the air seems denser inside your lungs.
“…What?”
Hajime slowly lifts his hand and cups your left cheek as if testing waters. His eyes watch yours for any signs of reluctance and he pulls you closer unhurriedly, to give you enough time to get away in case you change your mind.
Your lips hover over one another, not touching completely, yet you can feel the high point of his upper lip so close to the gap between yours that it almost feels like you’re kissing. But you’re not, and every hair of your body standing up in a goosebump urges for you to close the less than millimetric gap separating you two.
“Y/n! I brought you some manjū! It was fresh out of the oven.” Your mom shouts from the other side of the door, making you jump in your place.
“Shit.” You mumble under your breath.
Iwaizumi quickly gives you a peck and swiftly gets up from the floor while you push all the medical supplies under your bed.
“Y/n?! Are you okay in there?”
“Yeah, just a minute!” You yell, voice wavering from panic.
Hajime struggles with his uniform. Besides the rush, his ribs hurt- correction, his whole body hurts, and as much as he’s trying not to make any sounds, there’s only so much pain one can take. You quickly step in to help and glare at him to be silent.
In record time you dress him up and push him gently towards your window.
“Bye. Thanks.” He whispers rushily and kisses your cheek before swinging away.
“Y/n?!”
You fly across the room and open the door wide.
“Hi, mom.” You smile
“What were you doing?”
“Uh… push-ups!”
She looks at you with a mixture of confusion and disbelief.
“Okay…? Here’s your manjū, Sweetie.”
“Thanks a lot, mom. I’m gonna finish my push-ups now, bye.”
You close the door and collapse on your bed. The recent events were so comic you wanted to laugh. Instead, you sit up and start chewing on the bean-filled sweet, and only then you realize.
“I want a boyfriend.” You whine, playing with the ice cream in your hand. “I want cuddles, and hand-holding, and forehead kisses, and-” The couple on TV shares one of those breathtaking kisses after one of the confesses. “Do you see that? No one has ever kissed me like that! I’m probably never gonna be kissed like that.”
“Everybody is kissed like that at least once.” Bokuto states, stealing a spoonful of your dessert.
“Have you?” You ask curiously.
“Hm?”
“Been kissed like that. Or have you kissed anyone like that?”
“That’s not a kiss you give to just anyone, you know.” He responds shyly.
“That still doesn't answer my question.” You tease him.
“No, I haven’t.” He turns his gaze to the movie again.
You have been feeling emotionally and physically deprived for so long now, and doing a romance movie marathon with Bo only made things worse. Jealousy takes over you every time the male protagonist makes a romantic gesture to conquer the girl.
You can’t even remember the last time you went on a date or felt butterflies in your stomach because of someone, it’s almost pathetic how needy you are lately.
“I need a boyfriend.” You whine again. “I wanna love, and be loved.”
“You don’t need anyone, Y/n.”
“Then who’s gonna take me on dates? Or slow dance in the kitchen with me? Or cuddle on lazy days? Or kiss me like there’s no tomorrow like those movies, huh?”
“What about me?”
You turn your head to him so fast you think you snapped a bone.
“What?”
He keeps looking forward, even though the only thing playing on the TV right now are the movie credits. His fingers fidgeting with the hem of his shirt show how nervous he is.
“I can take you on dates, and dance with you, cuddle, kiss you like there’s no tomorrow.” You blink a few times, did I hear this right?
You thought he only saw you as a friend, he did flirt around every now and then, as a joke of course, but you’ve been friends for so long it never crossed your mind he saw you as more.
“Bo…”
He bites his lower lip and chuckles under his breath.
“Just forget I said anything.” He gives you his usual bright smile, totally shrugging off the bomb he just threw. “Want more ice cream?”
Bokuto takes your bowl from your hands and gets up to go to the kitchen.
“I was thinking about a comedy movie next, what do you think?”
You don’t know what’s more unbelievable, him confessing or him pretending it never happened.
You get up and walk after him in the kitchen.
“You can’t just ask me to forget what you just said, Bokuto.”
“If it keeps me from being rejected then I can.” He opens the fridge and grabs the ice cream. He can’t even look at you from how embarrassed he feels.
“Did you really mean those things?”
“I-” He sighs and you see his shoulders dropping. He already screwed things up, there’s no point in lying now. “Yes, I did. I thought you knew.”
“Knew what?”
“That I like you.”
Silence lays in your kitchen. Bokuto bites his own cheek from the inside, he feels somewhat relieved that he got that out of his chest after so long, but he can’t read the room, he can’t even look at your face anymore.
“See, that’s why I didn’t want to tell you. Things are gonna be weird between us now and-”
Everything happened so fast he didn’t even notice. He didn’t hear your fastened steps, he didn’t feel your hands on the back of his neck and on his waist. The only thing he felt was your soft lips perfectly placed on his, as if they were made to be there.
Butterflies take over his whole being and the air is stolen from his lungs. It doesn’t seem real, but as he places his hands on your waist it hits him that it’s actually happening.
Bo brings you closer to his body and leans into the kiss, deepening it so hard your body folds back. He wraps his arms completely around you, feeling you would slip from him if he didn’t.
His kisses grow desperate, needy, desired stamped through it, but it’s still gentle, soft and kind. He’s kissing you like there’s no tomorrow, just like all the times he kisses you after it.
Shoyo has been thinking about it for a while. Putting a ring on your finger, seeing you walking down the aisle in white, promising his whole life to you. Your friend’s wedding that you’re attending this weekend only makes him crave more.
Since you’re the maid of honor, you’re totally immersed in the preparations, and seeing how excited you and the bride are about every single detail makes his chest warm because one day he wants you to be just as enchanted - maybe a bit more - with your own ceremony and everything that comes after it.
So maybe he was looking at rings on the internet when you were out, busy with your maid of honor duties, maybe he was still looking at them while you were showering, or taking a look at dresses and trying to imagine you in them.
And when you open the door of your hotel suite bathroom to let the steam dissipate, he looks up from his phone to see you wearing a transparent white silk nightdress that shows him your matching lingerie and curves underneath, Hinata swears he can propose right there and now. No ring, no champagne, no expensive restaurant, no speech. Just you - looking as ethereal as one can possibly be - and him - half-naked with only vabo-chan stamped boxer shorts.
His jaw drops as he stares at you up and down. Shoyo’s mind becomes a mix of thoughts about spending forever with you and thoughts about fucking you till the morning comes.
He gets up from the bed and walks to the bathroom, leaning on the doorframe and watching as you start your night routine.
You’re so focused on getting the products out of your necessarie bag that you don’t notice him behind you. It’s only when his arms come to engulf your waist in a hug that you jump in your place, startled by the sudden appearance of your boyfriend.
He chuckles and places a kiss on your cheek, then one on your jaw, on your neck, on your shoulder. You let your head fall back onto his shoulder, melting under his kisses.
Shoyo straightens his back and puts his hands on your sides. Your cheeks heat up as his eyes scan your body. You know that gaze very, very well, but there’s something more to it now than just desire, though you can’t quite get it.
“You look gorgeous in white.” He whispers and you don’t know if he wanted to say that or if he was thinking out loud.
Suddenly, he sweeps you out of your feet and drags you back into the room easily.
“Sho! I haven’t even finished my skincare routine yet!” You protest with words but make no physical effort to get out of his hold.
“You don’t need it, your skin is perfect.” He responds with a kiss on your cheek. “See? Soft and smooth.”
“Yeah, because I do my routine every night." You cross your arms in front of your chest and angrily pout as he lays you gently on the bed. You turn your body to the side to get up but Shoyo quickly pins your hands to the bed. "Shoyo! I'm ser-"
Lips are smashed against yours abruptly and you lose all train of thought. The only thing in your mind is how soft and sweet his mouth feels. He cradles your face in his hands and deepens the kiss, claiming your mouth as his once again, taking and taking as much as you're willing to give him.
Your hands climb his torso in a feather touch, and he giggles into the kiss from how it tickles. His thumbs run side to side on your cheekbones, it feels so soft, so sweet, just like everything else he does that involves you.
Hinata puts both hands beside your head to support his weight, looking down at you with the sweetest smile ever. He takes his time to look at you, really look at you. The way your hair forms waves on the pillow, how your eyebrows are perfectly shaped to match your face, the shine from the dim lamp lights reflected in your eyes, the swollen lips he urges to kiss every time his own are apart from...
“I love you.”
Again, you sense something different in him. His words are heavier with more feeling than before, his gaze holds a new meaning. You feel butterflies in your stomach and heat taking over every inch of your skin.
"I love you too, Shoyo."
He lowers his head to your neck, pampering the skin there with kisses.
"I love you more." He breathes out, moving lower, now reaching your collarbone and chest. "I love you so so much." Now your belly, then your hips. "You're the love of my life." Your thighs, your knees, your ankles. Not a single inch of your body is neglected by Hinata.
Tears start stinging in your eyes. It's a wonder how your boyfriend can make you feel so loved, so high in his affection you never want to come back down again.
When he's satisfied with his worship of you and your body he lays beside you. A soft grin appears on his face when he looks at you. Hinata cups your cheek and kisses your forehead.
"Marry me."
You laugh, more like a scoff, because it is not the first time your boyfriend has asked you to "marry" him, and it definitely won't be the last.
There was that one time when you praised him for a fantastic recieve (you weren't even dating yet, that episode startled you), when you called him mom behind his back to ask for the recipe of his favorite food and cooked it for him on his birthday, when you agreed to watch one piece with him even if it had a thousand episodes, and when you flew to Japan to watch his Olympic matches after you told him you couldn't because of work.
But now, when your eyes meet his you see that it isn't a joke.
"Sho?"
He shifts closer to you and rests his forehead on yours, still looking deep into your eyes.
"Marry me." He repeats.
"You're not joking with me, are you?"
"Never. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. If you have me." A tear drops from your eye and he kisses it away. "Will you marry me, My Love?"
You throw yourself at him and smash your lips together. You kiss him again, and again, and again until you're both laughing and the kiss is nothing more than soft mouths rested against one another.
"Should I take this as a yes?"
"Yes, Shoyo, I will marry you."
Hinata wraps his arms around you and pulls you into a tight hug and you swear you're the happiest person on earth. You feel his smile against your neck. Calloused hands drop from your waist to your thighs, moving you to straddle him, and soon enough there's a bulge resting on the back of your leg.
"Sho..."
"Hm?" He dares to act innocent, nuzzling his nose on your jaw. Hinata moves his hips so it hits the spot that is urging for him.
"Shoyo..."
He flips both of you to the side, his weight on your body feels better than any comforter.
"It's my duty as a future husband to never leave my wife unsatisfied, isn't it? So let me take care of you, Mrs. Hinata."
"Always, Mr. Hinata."
Shoyo smiles and kisses you once more, before lowering himself and claiming you as him, now and forever.
♡ IWAIZUMI stares at the letter his daughter received with piercing eyes and a clenched jaw. How dare a four year old boy who doesn't have more than fifteen words in his vocabulary ask his precious little girl to be his valentine? The audacity.
"Love? You're holding the card so hard it'll rip." You say, rubbing his shoulders gently as you look over them but he doesn't budge.
Your little girl is happily drawing another card as a response to her future valentine in the ground only a few meters from you.
"She's too young." He says between his teeth.
"It's just a silly kid crush."
"He asked her on a date."
"Honey, it's a play date."
"Still."
"Daddy! Daddy! Look what I drew!" The four-year-old runs to her father while holding her card high so he can see it. "Do you think Sousuke-kun will like it?"
"Wow, it's beautiful, Sweetheart." He smiles at her. "Come here." She climbs into her dad's lap excitedly. "I'm sure he'll like it, but how about I be your valentine, huh?"
You withhold your laugh. Hajime was always jealous and protective of his daughter. It cute, seeing him so in love with her and with the fact that he is her dad, but sometimes he tends to go overboard.
"But, if you're my valentine, who's gonna be Mommy's valentine?" She pouts. "Oh! Uncle Oikawa can be her valentine!"
"No!"
"That's a great idea, Blossom." You say laughing.
"No, it isn't. You both will be my valentine." He says.
"Or, Daddy will be my valentine, Sousuke-kun will be yours and the four of us can go on a date at the movies, how does that sound?"
"I love it, Mommy!" She grins widely.
[...]
"He's not gonna steal her from you, you know. She will always be daddy's little girl." Your fingers brush through his hair as he burries his face on your chest.
"I know, but she's too young!" He whines, tightening his hold around your waist.
♡ KUROO grins as his son asks him for advice.
"I want to ask her to be my valentine, but I don't know how."
The little boy fidgets with his tiny fingers, a red tint on his cheeks after telling his father how much he likes this girl in his class.
"How about we buy her some flowers and chocolate, huh? That's how I asked your mom out."
"Really?! And she accepted?"
"Of course she did, my charms are invincible." Tetsurou smirks proudly.
"He was redder than a tomato and a stuttering mess, when I said 'yes' I thought he would pass out." You say, entering the room to give them some drinks. S/n laughs loudly as your husband blushes, embarrassed.
"Baby, you're ruining my reputation!" He whines and you cup his cheeks to give him a loud smooch.
"Sorry, Love. So, let's go buy some chocolates?"
[...]
You and Kuroo wait in the car as your kid knocks on his crush's door. He could do it tomorrow in class, but he's way too shy to do it in front of his colleagues and he also wanted to know her response, so after texting the girl's mom asking if they were home, you drove your little boy there.
"Do you think she'll say yes?"
"Have some faith in your son, Tetsu." You slap his arm. "Oh, oh, she's there!"
You two stare out of the window like two fangirls, trying to read the girl's expression to see how it's all going. She looks surprised, her eyes shine a bit at the sight of the roses and chocolate box in his hands. He starts saying something to her and her cheeks go red, after he's done she nods excitedly and they hug.
Kuroo raises his fist in celebration and you cheer.
"Oh my God, she accepted!"
"Of course she did, he's my son, he takes after my charms."
"Yeah, yeah, okay."
♡ USHIJIMA stares down at the sixteen-year-old boy who's standing by the door in front of him. The poor teenager would be terrified if it wasn't for the fact that he is a fan of the ace.
"You know I'm a professional volleyball player, right? I'm Japan's canon." He crosses his arms, subtly flexing his muscles to show his strength.
"Yes, Sir, I'm a big fan."
"You've seen my games?"
"Yes, Sir."
"So you know how strong I am, right? You’ve seen my spikes I’m sure you know it."
“Yes! I love that play you and Kageyama-san did on last years’ finals, the ball hit the court with a ‘kaboom!’ and the game ended and I was like ‘oh my god!’, I almost punched the wall.”
“You’re an odd kid.”
“Dad, please leave him alone.” His son pleads, sighing as he reaches the door.
You watch from the end of the hall how his date slightly blushes when S/n comes into his view, a smile plastering your face as you remember years ago when Wakatoshi went to your childhood house to pick you up for your first date as well.
“Wow… y-you look- I-”
“Handsome. Tell him he looks handsome.” Your husband orders.
“Dad, stop.”
“No, no, he’s right. You look very handsome.”
“Thank you. You do too. Now let’s get going.”
“Don’t forget the canon.”
“I won’t, Sir.”
“I want him home by ten.”
“Eleven!” You say loud enough for them to hear and your son flashes you a grateful look before snatching his date’s arm and pulling him to walk away.
“No funny business!”
“Dad, for God’s sake.”
You hug Ushijima from behind and you two watch as the boys disappear from your view.
“He’s all grown up now, just yesterday I was changing his diapers.” You whine, buring your face on his back.
“He’s turning into a man now. But he needs to choose his dates better, that boy is weird.”
You laugh, then pull him out of the doorway and close it behind you.
“You just found him weird cause he wasn’t intimidated by you.” Wrapping your arms around his neck, you get on your tiptoes to give his nose a little peck.
“Indeed. Do I need to work out more? Maybe if I get more muscles I’ll be intimidating.”
“I think you look amazing just the way you are, Baby, but if you want I have a workout program that can you can do, and it’s pretty easy, we have all the equipments you’ll need here.”
He tilts his head with furrowed eyebrows, a little confused.
“You’ll only need a bed and your loving wife.” You smirk. “We can workout as much as we want until eleven.”
“You know, you’ll be the death of me someday, My Dear.”
♡ BOKUTO came home from work to hear cries over his wife’s calming voice. He furrowed his eyebrows as he slipped off of his shoes, trying to focus on hearing what you were saying.
He quickly followed the noise to find your daughter with tears streaming down her face while being held by you.
“Hey, hey, what happened, Shortcake?” He asked, rushing to sit beside you and petting the teenager’s head.
“She went to B/n’s house to ask him to be her valentine but found him cheating on her.” You respond in her place as she was unable to speak due to her hiccups.
“I’m sorry, he did what?!”
You grabbed his wrist before he could get up from the bed, already knowing he would sprint to the boy’s house.
“Kou, she needs us right now, just leave it alone.”
“But-”
“No, we can talk to his parents later, now stay here and comfort your daughter.” He sighs in defeat.
“Hey, Shortcake, look at me.” He cupped his kid’s face gently, making her look up to him. “He didn’t deserve you, okay? You’re an amazing person and if he didn’t realize that, it’s his loss. He’s not worth your tears, Blossom. You know what, I’m gonna be your valentine this year, and I’ll show you how boys should treat you, okay? You should not settle for any less.”
“Thanks, Dad.”
“Now go take a relaxing shower and get ready, I’m taking you out.”
She nods and gives him a hug before going to the bathroom.
“I told you she should’ve dated Akaashi’s kid.” He mumbles and you laugh.
“Thank you, Kou.” You smile fondly at him.
“For what?”
“For being a great father, and an amazing husband.”
“I’m just doing my job, Princess. I shouldn’t be praised for doing the minimum.” He raises your hand to his face and kisses your knuckles gently. “But if you want to praise me later on tonight I won’t be against it.” He smirks and you playfully slap his chest. “I’m gonna go buy her, and you too, some flowers, I’ll be back shortly.” He gets up and starts walking towards the door. “Also, do you think now it’s the right time to text Akaashi and tell his kid she’s single or…?”

Panic was written in your eyes as you spotted your ex-boyfriend through the glass, sitting at a table among the rest of your friends. You wonder just why he's there until you remember that he is also friends with f/n, the one who initially introduced the two of you.
It’s not like you still have feelings for him - oh hell nah - but your relationship didn’t really end on good terms. You were fine with it, sort of relieved actually, but you wanted him to look at you and see how good you were doing without him.
However, the truth is, you aren’t doing so great. Of course, breaking up with him was a huge improvement in your life, but besides that, not much has changed since the last time you were with him. Especially, in your love life.
You tried, but most of your dates didn’t work out. They were either boring or trying to get in your pants as fast as possible. For a quick moment you believed your ex when he said you wouldn’t find anyone if you left him, but again, it would be better to spend the night with the guy trying to sleep with you than being with him.
You look down at your outfit, a button-up shirt with a lace bra underneath and light jeans. Simple, but the combo along with some accessories and a cute baguette purse looked rather elegant. Yet, it wasn’t sexy, nor ‘I’m doing better without you, asshole”.
You turn back to the street side of the sidewalk and spot a car a few steps away from you. You walk to the window and look at your reflection, wondering how you could fix yourself. You decide to open your shirt, leaning down a bit to not let other people in the street see your boobs, then make a knot with its ends. You fix your hair, apply a little more lipstick, and check your ass out. But you still think something is missing. Lastly, you dig your hand into your bra and pull your boobs upwards. As if all this wasn’t enough you check out yourself one last time.
While at it, the window you were using as a mirror slowly made its way down to reveal one of the most handsome men you have ever seen in your life. For a moment you think you have already seen him somewhere, but you decide it was probably in one of your dreams.
“Hey.” He says, so nonchalant it doesn’t even seem he’s just seen you fix your tiddies.
You keep staring at his golden eyes in complete disbelief. “You... were there... the whole time.” He chuckles at your mortified face.
“Yep, I was. But don’t worry, I closed my eyes when you were, uh,” He motions his hands over his chest. “yeah.”
A deep sigh of defeat falls out your lips, the thought of unliving yourself very strong in your mind. You take a step away from his car and he finally steps out of it.
Just from the sight of him behind the window, you knew he was big, but your jaw drops when his 6'3 figure of broad shoulders, muscles, thick thighs under his slacks, and Dorito-shaped torso stands in front of you. Your brain couldn't comprehend how someone so damn attractive could exist.
“What are you fussing about anyway? You look great!” He points his hands ahead, gesturing for you up and down. "I mean, you already looked good before, so I don't understand."
"You see that dark-haired guy on a table inside?" You nod your head in the direction of your ex-boyfriend.
"The one in a blue shirt?"
"Yes. That's my ex. It's my friend's birthday today and I forgot they're friends, the possibility of him being here didn't even cross my mind."
"And... you want him back or something?"
"Oh, God, no." You shake your head. "He's an asshole. I just want him to see that I'm doing good- no, great, without him."
"Hm, I see." He nods. "Well, you're very pretty, I can't even believe he was able to pull you off. You don’t have to worry about him." You feel your cheeks heating up at the praises and you thank him quietly. He checks the time on his watch before turning to you again. “I have to go meet my friends inside, but it was nice to meet you…”
“Y/n.”
“Y/n, wow, what a beautiful name. I’m Bokuto.”
“Thanks, it was nice meeting you too, Bokuto.”
He gestures for you to walk ahead of him like the gentleman he is. You open the door of the pub when a group of drunk guys also decides to leave, one of them is destined to bump into you but a large hand finds your waist, spins you, and pulls you in, making your front meet a hard surface that you soon acknowledge as Bokuto’s chest.
“Are you okay?” He asks while the men pass by, bumping into his back while they do so.
“Yeah, I’m okay, thank you.”
By now you have no doubts he can see your flustered cheeks.
Bokuto lets you go and smiles.
“Hey, dudes, look where you’re going!” He shouts back to the group that only responds with a shrug of shoulder and mumbles.
“I guess I’ll see you around, Y/n. Have a good night.”
“You too, Bokuto.”
You start walking towards your friend’s table but turn your head back to look at him one last time. Your heart beats faster when you see the dual color-hair man is looking at you too. You smile giggly because of him.
“Oh my God, Y/n, who was that with you?!” One of your friends asks as soon as you reach the table.
As you open your mouth to respond, your gaze meets your ex’s. He looks at you with slightly narrowed eyes, clearly interested in your answer too. The words fall out of your lips before you can even think.
“He’s my new boyfriend.” You answer while taking a seat beside your best friend.
“What?!” They’re shocked.
Not because they don’t think it would be possible for you to be with someone as good-looking as him but because of the same reason you were shocked when you saw him.
“He’s the one you were out on a date with last week?!”
“Yep.” You put all your confidence in your words, to be as convincing as possible.
“Wait, so you’re dating MSBY’s Bokuto?” Your ex asks, genuine disbelief in his voice.
So that’s where you saw him, you think.
“Yes. It’s pretty recent, so we’re keeping it low key.”
“He’s super hot.”
“I’m glad you found him, you've been looking for someone for so long.”
You catch a glimpse of your ex’s mouth curving upwards a bit.
“Yeah, he’s amazing. And super sweet.”
“I saw the way he was looking at you.” Bf/n nudges your side. “You got him wrapped around your finger.” You just laugh away, dropping the conversation.
Soon your friends also let go of it and start talking about something else. Suddenly, you feel your phone vibrating and take it to see a message from Bf/n.
>> since uh when??
you NEVER showed me a pic of him
<< soooo i lied :D i met him outside the pub
>> is this bc of ex/n?
<< yeah
>> god y/n
but what i said was true he was looking at you differently
pls tell me you gave him your number
<< i didn’t
>> i’m gonna kill you istg
“Excuse me, that gentleman at the bar sent you this drink.”
You look up from your phone to the waiter beside you, who put down a Grasshopper in front of you and tilted his head towards Bokuto, who was sitting with three more guys.
His smile grows bigger when your eyes meet and he raises his own cup in a toast, then winks at you.
“Something sweet like you, he said.” You switched your gaze to your friend beside you partly to hide your blush and to see her reaction as well.
“I told you.” She whispered.
Everyone at the table made a big deal out of it and started teasing you, well, not everyone, since a scowl took place on your ex’s face.
The night went on and near the end of it, your friends decide to go to a club. It’s not like you didn’t want to go, but you didn’t really want to, you only wanted to plop down on your bed and sleep till noon. Everybody gathers their things to leave and gets up from the table.
“Won’t you say ‘bye’ to your boyfriend, Y/n?” Ex/n asks, emphasizing the word ‘boyfriend’. It’s obvious he still doesn’t believe in your little lie. “Does he even let you go to the club without hi-?”
“Hey, Y/n!”
Like work from destiny, the player jogs up to you. You turn around in his direction and mouth a ‘please play along’ before putting a hand on the back of his neck and pulling him down for a kiss.
Bokuto’s eyes go wide and he stiffens momentarily, but the soft feeling of your lips on his cause him to kiss you back and hold your waist against him. You hum in the kiss, prolonging it for a little longer than you should then pull away. His mouth moves forward, searching for yours.
The rest of your friends watch the scene in front of them with their jaws dropped and Bf/n almost pulls her phone to record it.
“I was about to go talk to you, Darling.” You say, straightening the fabric of his shirt on his chest. “The girls want to go to a club, you don’t mind if I tag along with them, right?”
Bokuto takes a quick glance at the man beside you and quickly understands what’s going on.
“Of course I don’t, Princess.” He holds you tighter and raises your hand to his mouth to place a chaste kiss on its back. “But you promised me cuddles tonight.” He pouts then dips his head down to get closer to you. “You’ll have to make it up to me later.”
His words make your stomach cold and your breath uneasy. Ex/n shifts in his place, uncomfortable, and cleats his throat, making both your attentions go to him.
“Oh, hey, man.” The ace greets him.
“Uh, where did you two meet?” Your ex raises a brow.
“In a coffee shop. I went there with Tsum-Tsum and she was ordering in front of us.” Bokuto answers.
“That’s funny ‘cause Y/n doesn’t like coffee.”
“I was there for their red velvet cake.” You resort.
“Okay, so you met in a coffee shop on a random day, and just like that you started going out?”
You and Bokuto take a look at each other and start nodding, both in the same place with the act.
“Yep, exactly like that.”
“Hey, you’re her ex, right?”
“Yes, I am.”
“I’d say it’s a shame that you weren’t able to appreciate her as she deserves, but if you did she wouldn’t be with me so, I guess I gotta thank you actually.”
You see a vein popping on Ex/n’s forehead. You hug Bokuto’s torso and get on your tiptoes to kiss his cheek.
“You flatter me too much, Baby. I think you just earned those cuddles.” You turn to your friends. “Sorry, girls, we can schedule the club for another day.”
“Sure! Go have fun with your man.” Bf/n says with a smirk.
“Bye, y’all!”
You take Bokuto’s hand in yours and walk away as he waves to your friends. When you get outside, you stop.
“Oh my God, thank you so much. And sorry for putting you in that situation.” You smile apologetically.
“No problem, I didn’t mind that at all. Especially the kiss. I didn’t mind that at all.” He repeats and you feel your face burning.
“Ex/n didn’t believe me when I lied and said you were my boyfriend so I panicked.” You explain.
“Well, if you let me take you out, it won’t be a lie anymore.” He tilts his head to the side, waiting for your response.
