The mythical journey of Self-realisation through rising of kundalini-energy— elaborated through symbols of the tarot (arcanum 1 & 11 the Magician & Justice)

The great illusion that is pulled over our eyes is that the outer world of appearance is concrete, yet if we go up close to it with our awareness we will find that we can't touch it or contain it, it is ever-flowing along the river of time.

Perpetual transformation, death & renewal is the great mystery that ever evades us. The constancy that is change is the ever-aliveness of Nature- is what makes Nature, Nature - always changing & ever-moving is the fundamental property that describes what Nature is. When we say Nature, we mean, that which is ever-flowing, the passing, what is moving, changing & vibrating with aliveness.

Transformation/change itself is absolutely transparent so we must reach for metaphors to describe it.

Vibration just is.

Transformation is the origin or cause of the sense of time, & Kali, a personification of TIME, creates & destroys simultaneously, not linearly, so that the space of this here & Now, can be opened up, for existencing to be.

Simultaneous creation & destruction is the balancing that establishes the axis & ground of existence, & the driving forth of order from chaos.

Around the fulcrum that is Ma'at the create-&-destroy pattern brings forth the exactness of this moment in time, absolutely illusive, always already passing.

Yet there is an irreversible arrow that drives time in the forward direction (that is the experience of change), against the tendency of chaos — the pull of the dark abyss (also Kali) to consume - so that new order always emerges, there is adaptation, growth, renewal, again & again- nothing ends- only changes.

When Jesus as magician-avatar sacrificed himself to himSelf on the cross/tree of time/space & said 'it is finished', what he said was— 'it is accomplished' - the final siddhi, illumination in Self & Will is achieved.

The magician/enchanter/sorcerer fulfils the great rite of uniting heaven & earth, the journey starts- when we take up our initiation by picking up our staff/sword (handed to us by the great Goddess rising out of the unconscious waters of the psyche when it is our time to grow & mature).

The mythical journey activates at the moment the human initiate receives & takes up the staff, signifying the journey has begun, to set out in search of what he/she intuits must be true, but is somehow lost.

The invisible arrow that drives transformation in Nature, & drives the learning processes of the psyche- is itself of a higher order Nature, & can't be measured with any physical instrument, but is evidenced experientially.

What is revealed by experience itself in the appearances transpiring in any given moment is truth— that something is appearing, is the evidence that makes it undeniably true/real-& is the basis of the scientific method of inquiry.

People say— it just is as it is.

The nature of this arrow through time is alluded to in mythologies & symbols & metaphysics & can be mathematically shown in terms of the natural laws universal laws of thermodynamics.

In other words, the transformations or journey that must lead the human being to his destiny in Self-realisation can only happen through performing work (also called disciplines), in the sense of exchanging energy with the environment, & enacting change on the environment through their person (body-mind instrument), expending energy as work to change things (according to Will, as the old definition of magic), physically, ceremonially, through thought practices, mind power & so forth.

*Note, the initiate is also the disciple at the feet of the great teacher, the Goddess, that is experience— weaver of a life-story; the disciple surrenders to sadhana (practice, work, ritual) with discipline & devotion-disciple, discipline, sadhana & Siddhi are related words— disciplined effort/work culminate in Siddhi- mastery over the energy laws of manifestation & the power to create or cause change aligned with deep Will & heartfelt desire, that is true Sankalpa.

The sacrifice, here, is work performed on the creation or self in the service of Self-realisation, that is the fulfilment of the Soul in a human birth.

One way that the energetics of the Soul's journey through time & form, from the initial unconscious wholeness of the infant in the womb to the matured conscious realisation & remembering (with the addition of memory) - has been expressed in culture, is through the yogic images & concept of kundalini.

The human form's purpose is to serve the Soul's journey to remember what is ultimately real & true, though the world & through the human journey - in other words, with the addition of memory, uniting heaven & earth.

The serpent/chaos/energy/kundalini is driven up the tree/cross/axis or grail/chakras - against the gradient or pull of the abyss (through the very process of perpetual transformation, death/rebirth) & self-illuminates in understanding/realisation, when the energy reaches the crown/higher brain & the discrimination of the real from the passing & already dying can be made-
