Heyo!!! May I get Kaeo please?

Kaeo is a little rascal that Talentless was, frankly, not ready for.
“Kae, c’mon!” The fae scolds, pouting, as they try and fail to catch the isopod who ransacked their herb supply. “I have spells to complete! This is not a game!”
Kaeo feels differently, though, because all she does is wiggle her body in laughter and escape through their fingers like a purple splotch for the sixth time in the last five minutes.
Talentless huffs in frustration and continues their futile attempts at subduing the insect critter.
They’ve only had this little gal for a few days, and she's already done 4every kind of mischief the fae can think of. Stealing from both them and their familiars, distracting them from their work, general inconveniences - the house has been a lot more lively than before. Which is saying a lot, consider Alex and Laika the honorary puppies.
Kaeo leads them around the room, catnip still in her delicate mouth, for another minute before her antics are interrupted by Alex. The crystal critter leaps in front of her and delicately plucks her up into air jail with his teeth. Talentless stops in front of them, hands on their knees, breathy from the involuntary exercise.
“Thanks, Lex,” they say, letting him place the isopod on their palm and giving him a good ear scratch with their free hand. Alex purrs in response.
Kaeo deposits the catnip on their palm and looks up, faux-innocent, into their eyes.
Talentless stares back, unimpressed and annoyed.
Until she drops down and nuzzles against them.
They soften immediately.
“Damn your cute privileges.”
