Thank you @chashme_baddur for introducing me to this traditional style of tea. The word Kahwah in Kashmiri means "sweetened tea", though the word also seems to be related to the Turkish word for coffee (kahveh) which in turn might be derived from the Arabic word "qahwah. However, I had more fun when we shared the tea together. #kahwah #kashmirichai (at Bangalore, India) https://www.instagram.com/p/CD6I0WPFvxh/?igshid=1jmx3pt8h5tqb

A beautiful and valuable gift from my friend @ceciliarphillips that I will surely enjoy a lot. Another new try from the brand Seer Secrets – Their famous herbal tea. They have been always famous for their amazing tea blends but this one caught my eye and I decided to give it a try.

Seer Secrets Kahwah Amalgam Herbal Tea – The Royal Invigorant
Seer Secrets are known for their amazing natural products including several tea variants. I never used to experiment too much with my teas but off late I am all for it. Have experienced some amazing variants in the market and Seer Secrets being one of my favourite brands, I had to give their tea a try. And of course, as always, they have impressed!
Ingredients:
Almond Seed, Cinnamon, Saffron, Green Cardamom, Black Cardamom, Bay Leaf, Fennel, Unfermented Camellia Sinensis
Packaging:
This was the one total let down. I usually love Seer Secrets packaging and was extremely disappointed with this one. The outer packaging as usual in the tin format was beautiful with the usual product branding adorning the surface. But the actual product packaging really needs a revamp. It came in this beautifully shaped jar, and I was super excited to be able to show off the jar on my desk but sadly the lid of the jar was not air-tight. Infact, it was so loose that when removing it from the canister it came in, the lid opened up and so much of my precious tea fell out. There was a paper placed between the lid and jar, in an attempt to tighten the lid down but was of really no use.
This was disappointing as the logical thing to do was to either create a clingwrap seal or to transfer contents to another jar to avoid loss of potency. Really need to include an airtight rim or seal for this jar.
My Experience:
The tea is amazing! It has the refreshing fragrance of fennel and spice!! Love the fragrance. Need just a quarter teaspoon in hot water for a couple of minutes and then can sip on this amazing brew. I have this after meals as a digestive and it works wonders. Have actually seen a difference in my digestive system after I have started drinking this. Keep refilling my mug with hot water as the powder settles at the bottom and it is just amazing. Love having this extremely light so the flavour is just subtle but still gives that refreshing boost.
Pro’s:
Amazing ingredients
Works as a great digestive
No need to strain!!
Cons:
The packaging needs a revamp
Price: ₹423 for a 50 gm jar
Rating: 9/10
You can buy it online on various websites including Amazon:

Masala Chai: il tè speziato dell’India
Chai, Masala Chai, Chai latte, tè speziato: ci sono tanti modi con cui potresti aver conosciuto questo particolare modo di preparare il tè, ma che cos’è? Chai significa “tè” e masala indica un “misto di spezie”, e come dice il nome Masala Chai è un tè arricchito con spezie. Ma questa è solo la punta dell’iceberg.
Prima però un po’ di storia.
