My Life after College (cont.)
So after months of staying home, trying to apply in some jobs offered in websites such as jobstreet and kalibrr, there’s no company that replied in my email. During that time, I thought maybe there’s something wrong with my profile that employers or companies doesn’t recognize me at all. Then I try to move on, still hoping for a reply or job offer/interview opportunty in weeks or months to come.
Then by April or May 2016, I’ve decided to finally enroll in a review center to study every Sunday in preparation with the upcoming Certification for Industrial Engineer Examination (CIE Exam) on December, and for other learnings/lessons might as well I can learn additionally. It turned out well as I try to have an excuse to my relatives and friends why I still haven’t landed a job yet (which is I am focused on studying/preparing for exam). That time, I thought that it’s okay to focus on studying first and working later. But remember that I still do jobstreet applications in between those times that I am reviewing and hoping for a company to reply to me soon.
And came July, I attended a training, Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training (BOSH Training), wherein everything related with regards to safety and health in terms of company setting and even simple everyday routines have been discussed. I learned much information and I am happy with the lessons I have gained. And also, the people that I have met in this 5-day, 40hour training seminar, they are all friendly and accomodating.
The next week after, I attended a Red Cross Trainig Seminar wherein I’ve learned Basic CPR and First Aid Training on this 5-day seminar. But unluckily, I don’t get a certification/proof or result if I pass or fail the said training. But I take this seminar on a positive outcome for my personal development that I had additional learning in a field in which I am not that familiar but can be helpful in simple situations or emergencies in life.
I will discuss more on my life experience later on.
For now, with these, I have learned to never take chances for granted even if it will give you something or will benefit you nothing. As long as additional knowledge is given to you, therefore, there’s no effort, time and opportunity wasted.
