Elliot bundles her into his lap, recognizing the hallmarks of a panic attack and knowing he has to help her calm before he can reach her.

“Shh, it’s okay, you’re safe, it’s okay,” he whispers over and over. He draws his breath slowly, counting in his head and smoothing his hand up and down Kat’s back in time with each inhale and exhale, coaxing her lungs to match their ragged breathing to his.

Slowly she comes back to herself. He feels the tension leaching from her, replaced by trembling. Her heaving breaths give way to sobs, tears dripping into the collar of his shirt. In more control of her body again, her arm loops tight around his neck, face pressed against the join of his shoulder, and she clenches a fist tight in the fabric of his t-shirt. Elliot lays his hand over hers, smoothing her palm to rest flat against his heartbeat, warming her cold fingers with his skin.

“Shh,” he whispers, pulling sweat-dampened hair back from her face to tuck behind her ear. “It’s okay.”

“El,” she sobs, breathy and weak.

“It’s okay,” he says again, rocking her gently. “I’ve got you. I’m here, I’m safe. We’re home. We’re together. It’s okay.”

So glad Kalliot are finally together 🥹 unfortunately Thomas made an appearance (and kissed Kat 🤢) but hopefully that’s him gone now

I’m so excited to get into the 1974 of it all and what exactly Colton knew, because obviously he was also a time traveller but he clearly knew more in the memory Jacob had

I fear Elliot’s father will be making an appearance at some point but I’m excited to know more about Elliot’s family, and I hope we can find out about his mother!!
