@kashtovel II Birthday Things 

Leonard had put quite a bit of thought as to what he was going to get Spock for his birthday. He hasn’t always been the best at picking out gifts in general. He had even went as far as asking Uhura for help with some suggestions. Eventually the two of them had decided on a good gift, and Leonard went about acquiring all that he needed for it. 

So that led him to today, getting up far earlier than Spock for once in his life, and going about getting everything from Uhura who had agreed to hold onto everything for him as a good hiding place. Once he had everything he went carefully placed Spock’s present on the bed, a small uniquely colored kitten with a bow loosely tied to the small jingling collar. The young kitten almost immediately began to explore, quickly finding the sleeping hybrid in the bed. 

Leonard smiled at the sight, leaning down to kiss Spock’s head before moving out of the bedroom to start working on breakfast for the two of them. He was rather convinced that the kitten would do a fine job of waking up Spock in record time.

I really want to give this show a genuine chance I do . & I know going into things with stuff in mind already is generally bad . but like crap , the more I hear about this whole spock thing the more I am “ nope bye ”

The show is not bad, when it focuses on not Michael like it is doing now. Like We’re six episodes in? I think the first episode I genuinely enjoyed without complaint was episode 5 because the focus was split between Lorca and the crew and had the three best actors on the show in multiple scenes together.

BUT, yeah, no. This episode, six, makes multiple mentions of how Michael is some special human child that is connected to Sarek (by the by, they never say his name right) and how she is basically meant to be some Vulcan/Human bonding messiah or whatever. All the while Sarek supports Michael for things like joining Starfleet when he turned his back on Spock for that and they kind of give an explanation for that in episode six, but it still feels very... blame laid at Spock’s feet.

I dunno. The show is growing on me, but not because of all the Michael shit.
