Okay but I don't know which thing is funnier in this scene: the way Batman sits in this chair (he definitely does not skip leg day and wants everyone to know), waiting in the dark for Wonder Woman to discover him there or the fact that Diana actually smiles when she sees him here, meaning that she does not mind that he broke into her hotel room

Supergirl 2.0 mentioned Lena's name like 20 times in this episode. That has got to be deliberate. I cannot believe the writers are passing up on this opportunity to make supercorp canon. Or at least supercorp 2.0

One of the more understated plotlines in the DCAU involved the fictional Eastern European nation of Kasnia, as it’s ruler Princess/Queen Audrey.

The nation was first mentioned in the pilot episode for Superman: the Animated Series, where it’s mentioned that there is apparently a trade embargo between Kasnia and the US. Due to unrest in the country, Lex illegally sells some of his prototype mech suits to them, which leads to the  start of the conflict between Superman and his archfoe.

The nation next appeared in the pilot for Batman Beyond, where a minister from the nation attempted to pursue some illegal WMDs from Paxton Powers, the big bad of the first two seasons.

Since Terry McGinnis’ dad was murdered by Powers to prevent the details of the weapon and its sale going public, arguably Kasnia also played a role in Terry taking up the role of Batman in the first place too.

Audrey herself was referenced for the first time in the episode Spellbound, where a mindcontrolling supervillain tricks a museum curator into helping him steal some of Audrey’s displayed clothes and jewellry.

Chronologically the second time we hear of Kasnia and Audrey is in the Justice League episode Maid of Honour. There Audrey is portrayed as a spoiled party girl who, in the midst of her pre-marriage celebrations, befriends Wonder Woman.

This is a relationship which last for several years in the background of JL and JLU, including when Audrey becomes queen following the semi-assassination of her dad the king. We also learn that, judging from her wedding, Kasnia is at least partially Greek Orthodox in religion.

However, the political termoil caused by Vandal Savage taking over the government of Kasnia (and, it’s implied, Audrey’s dad’s less than popular politics) the country broke out into civil war. Diana revisits Kasnia in the JLU episode Hawk and Dove, where it turns out that the conflict was made worse, at least in part, to Ares showing up to “sell” “robots“ (a magic construct powered by aggression).

The robot would later go on to cause several issues for the League, with the Suicide Squad Taskforce X showing up to steal it from the JLU’s satellite, and with the ghost of Felix Faust possessing it in order to overthrow Satan... I made Hades.

Now, the last two appearances/references are a bit hard to place timeline-wise. In the Mystery of the Batwoman movie, the driving point of the plot is how the Penguin and other mobsters had made an arms deal with rebels in the country, which the titular Batwoman repeatedly destroys.

Now, considering how Kasnia had seemingly reunited, joined the European Union AND had joined the Euro by the time the JLU episode The Great Brain Robbery rolled around, this means the movie either took place during the civil war or tensions began to rise again shortly afterwards.

Which is a touch sad, considering how Audrey appeared to be trying to get her country back on track and all. Doubly so if you consider how, chronologically, her reforms seemingly did little to change the fact that, forty years later, a Kasnian ambassador (who was present at her engagement party in Paris in MoH) would be buying illegal weaponry to kill their political neighbours.

They enter the DCAU buying illegal supertech, and they leave trying to buy illegal supertech.

The Great Brain Robbery also seemingly places Kasnia in an area that in our world is a province in northern Serbia, when they give the coordinates, if you wanted a rought idea of where it was supposed to be.

Okay but this sequence from "Maid of honor" is something I absolutely adore and it shows how in sync is wonderbat during fights: Bruce trusts (remember, it's Batman, he's paranoid to the 11!) Diana enough to duck and let her punch a guard and Wonder Woman just knows what to do. They do this without a word and it's such a good action scene.

Beautiful. Just plain beautiful.
