Katara's playlist is made up of dark wave, cold wave, and ethereal music. These subgenres of goth are perfect for her character because they sound soft, gentle, and Cosmically Powerful all at the same time. Also, some of you need to remember that her character does indeed have an arc that is very tied to her grief for her mother, and this is not a bad thing. I have this most egregiously in "The Child In Me" and "Swan".
Oh, and "Who Trust, Why Trust?" is specifically Katara @ Zuko when he shows up at the western air temple.
