Fourth World Week

Day 5 - Love

Based on this interaction from New Gods (1971) #1, this one really could've been for the Masks prompt or even the Friends & Family prompt. But at its heart, its very much a love song. It's written from Orion's perspective, something he could not say or put into words to Lightray, just as the darker parts of his heart cannot yet be shown. But he longs to! He wants deeply to let in this person - the one who lights those dark chambers.

I originally wrote the lyrics some time ago, but only put it to music in the last several days especially for FWW! Please give it a listen, it's not very long.

This one was for "Metron and Darkseid hatefully doing science shit for a larger plot, their dynamic of uneasily working together." Somehow it turned into a quirky musical number. 😂

This was supposed to a song from Metron’s point of view, but it kind of got away from me and ended up much more emotional than fits his character. But I still like it, so here it is. The idea is that he knows Heartbeat wants to return to her human life, but she has brought something into his own that he was lacking. He would never admit it to anyone, but he doesn’t want her to go.

I made a song for Heartbeat inspired by a story arc I've only loosely started putting together in my head, but having to do with saying goodbye and returning back to normal everyday human civilian life. After all she's been through and whatever bonds she's formed with Metron along the way, it's time to go back to how things were before she was abducted and lost her memories.
