Kavala, Greece
Drifting around Kavala’s streets and empty avenues as the whole world fell asleep under Mother Nyx’s dark blue-black dress that was sewn of constellations of stars, modern neon signs, and streetlights. 🌙
Initially, I only planned to do Ares’s motorcycle and experiment with its paint and LED Lighting system as I have been going on an alt/ bad boy look on him lately. The equine head was also partly inspired by the mares of Thrace- human-eating horses that belonged to Diomedes, son of the Thracian Cyrene and Ares. (Not to be confused with the Thessalian Cyrene that Apollo loves, and gave the name to the Ancient Greek city of Cyrenaica, Libya tho.)
For Cypris, I got her looking like an East Asian bodhisattva; with all of the flowing arm drapes/“robes” on her Baby Phat, and long ruffled fringes on her yellow crop top-a trend from the late 2000s-2010s fashion that I feel needs to make a comeback. A Greek-Middle Eastern goddess of love & war now also has some Asian fashion flavour to her !!!
