नई दिल्ली. कोविड-19 का कहर इस सदी का सबसे भयंकर कहर है। यह कब समाप्त होगा, फिलहाल इसका कोई अंदाजा नहीं लगा सकता लेकिन इस महामारी ने हमारे रहन-सहन का तरीका बदल दिया है। वर्चुअल बोर्ड मीटिंग, कोर्ट हियरिंग, ऑनलाइन एजुकेशन के साथ ही शादी भी वर्चुअल होने लगी है। यह कोरोना इफेक्ट ही है, जिसने शादी का दूसरा तरीका ईजाद करवा दिया। नए फिजिकल डिस्टेंसिंग और सेफ्टी नॉर्म्स के चलते अब कई जोड़े ऑनलाइन शादी के बंधन में बंध रहे हैं। इसी के मद्देनजर वर्चुअल शादी के लिए अब कई स्टार्टअप्स भी शुरू हो गए हैं। यह स्टार्टअप्स शादी कराने में पूरी तरह सहयोग करते हैं। स्टार्टअप्स डीजे, मेहंदी सेरेमनी के साथ ही संगीत का आयोजन कर रहे हैं। इसके साथ ही वर्चुअल वेडिंग फोटोग्राफी भी उपलब्ध करा रहे हैं।

इवेंट कंपनियां करा रही है वर्चुअल वेडिंग

वर्तमान संकट के बीच कई इवेंट कंपनियों ने वर्चुअल वेडिंग का आयोजन शुरू कर दिया है। मुंबई की एक स्टार्टअप कंपनी ‘पार्टीस्टार्टस’ ने अप्रैल माह से ही वर्चुअल पार्टी और शादी का आयोजन शुरू कर दिया था। ‘पार्टीस्टार्टस’ की संस्थापक Niyomi Zatakia ने कहा कि मुंबई में अब तक उन्होंने दो वर्चुअल इवेंट किइ हैं। अगले शादी के सीजन के लिए सभी वेट एंड वाच की स्थिति में हैं पर उन्हें भी शादी के कुछ रस्म वर्चुअल करने होंगे। कुछ बड़ी कंपनिया भी वर्चुअल वेडिंग इंडस्ट्री में शामिल होने की तैयारी कर रही है।

शादी डॉट कॉम ने भी शुरू की किया वर्चुअल वेडिंग

दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी मैट्रीमोनी वेबसाइट शादी डॉट कॉम ने वर्चुअल वेडिंग की सुविधा शुरू की है। शादी डॉट कॉम ने वेडिंग फ्रॉम होम की शुरूआत की है। शादी डॉट कॉम के मार्केट डायरेक्टर अधिश जावेरी कहा कि हमने हाल ही में कई ऑनलाइन शादियां कराई हैं। जिसमें पंडित रायपुर मे थे, दुल्हन बरेली में थी और दुल्हा मुंबई में था। कंपनिया सभी शादी से जुड़े सभी कार्य करने का जिम्मा लेती है। इनमें रिश्तेदारों को ई कार्ड भेजना, गेस्ट का इंतजाम, पंडित की व्यवस्था करना, संगीत, डीजे, गिफ्ट शामिल हैं।

वर्चुअल आयोजन के लिए मिल रहे बुकिंग

वर्चुअल इवेंट स्टार्टअप ‘माइ इवेंट्ज’ की संस्थापक गीता राज रतवानी के मुताबिक, वर्चुअल शादी के दौरान शादियों में होने वाली सभी रस्में की जाती है। दोनों में ज्यादा अंतर नहीं होता है। गीता राज ने कहा कि हम वर्चुअल शादी की पूरी व्यवस्था करने का जिम्मा लेते हैं। पूरा इवेंट दुल्हा और दुल्हन को ध्यान में रखकर आयोजित किया जाता है। मुंबई की इस इवेंट कंपनी को मई में शुरू किया गया था। इसके बाद से लगातार इस कंपनी के पास देश के विभिन्न राज्यों से शादी-ब्याह, वेडिंग एनिवर्सरी, बर्थडे आयोजनों के लिए बुकिंग मिल रहे हैं। इंडियन एंजल नेटवर्क के सीओओ दिग्विजय सिंह ने कहा, ‘एक निवेशक के रूप में हम स्टार्टअप्स में कुछ नया कर सकते हैं। यह देखना दिलचस्प होगा कि शादी के स्टार्टअप इन कठिन समय के दौरान कैसे नया करते हैं और एक व्यवहार्य व्यवसाय मॉडल बनाते हैं।’

जानिए, कितना बड़ा है इंडियन वेंडिंग मार्केट का साइज

KPMG रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, अमेरिका के बाद भारत को दुनिया का दूसरा सबसे महंगा और बड़ा वेडिंग मार्केट माना जाता है। रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, इंडियन वेडिंग इंडस्ट्री का साइज 40-50 बिलियन डाॅलर के आसपास का है। वहीं, अमेरिका का वेडिंग मार्केट 70 बिलियन डाॅलर का है। भारत में एक शादी पर औसतन 5 लाख से लेकर 5 करोड़ रुपए तक का खर्च आता है। वहीं, भारत में एक प्री-वेडिंग शूट के साथ वेडिंग फोटोग्राफी पर औसतन 15,000 से लेकर 1 लाख तक का खर्च आता है। भारतीय एक डेस्टिनेशन वेडिंग पर कम से कम 50 से 70 लाख रुपए तक खर्च कर देते हैं।

Relationship Analysis: Davey and Katherine

Character 1: Davey is a brand new newsie and the accidental creator of the newsboy union. Although shy and reserved, he can be brave and inspiring when he needs to be.

Character 2: Katherine is the daughter of one of the richest men in America, though she wants nothing to do with him. She is witty and smart, but deeply insecure about her place in the world.

All About It:

Davey and Katherine start off on the wrong foot. When they first meet, Kath (accidentally or out of naivety, but still) insults the newsies, calling them “a ragtag gang of ragamuffins” and “a gang of kids who haven’t got a nickel to their name”. (Newsies Live script, page 33) She also is rude to Jack, choosing to sass him rather than answer his questions. (Newsies Live script, pages 33, 34) Davey, obviously, does not take too kindly to this richly dressed and patronizing woman talking down to his new friends. He retaliates by saying that they’ll “save any exclusive for a real reporter”, which Katherine probably interpreted as him thinking she couldn’t be a reporter because she’s a girl. (Newsies Live script, page 34) Its safe to say that the two don’t have high opinions of each other by the end of their first meeting. @oldsiebutanewsie has a post on this that I drew inspiration from (post).

However, Davey comes to respect Kath. The next time Kath sees Davey, she has fixed her language problem. She refers to them as “gentlemen” and tells them “you got yourselves in the pape”. (Newsies Live script, page 47) This change of tone doubtless goes a long way to repair their bad start, as Davey calls her “the star reporter” during King of New York (Newsies Live script, page 49) and encourages her to dance with the rest of the newsies. (The 6th Picture) Later, they appear to be working together, as they go to find Jack and convince him to stick with the strike together. (Newsies Live script, pages 54, 55)

Davey and Kath are physically affectionate with each other. They are often standing or sitting very close to each other, and they link arms to dance during King of New York even when it would make more sense for Race to be next to Katherine. Will it Ship?

YES! Not only do they have a generally positive relationship, but Davey and Katherine have a lot in common (both being intellectuals in their group and choosing to do something their parents might not want). Katherine even appears to be friends with Les, which Davey would probably find reassuring.

NO! Because of their misunderstanding during act one, its unlikely that Davey and Kath would get too close very quickly. Besides, Katherine is Pulitzer’s daughter, and Davey is co- leading the strike against him. That’s bound to cause some conflict.
