im also neutral on the whole "aces are lgbt" stuff, like i do understand the concept of not wanting cishets, thats legit, but idk theres other arguments that exclusionists bring up that just dont seem right to me (like the whole "im more oppressed than you" shit), also as youve said inclusionists did some shit but usually they arent the ones i fear i might get bullied by if ever came out as aspec or nb tbh....

yeeeeeep. like the thing is? a lot of inclusionists have a “well we’re weird and therefore deserve a seat at the table!” thing going on... which isn’t great considering that its an argument that’s been used before and by bad people. But so many exclusionists just flat out don’t care about splash damage and will throw anyone (bi, nb, sex repulsed people, autistics, just to name a few) under the bus as long as it sticks it to those Cringy Asexys.

AU: any pairing, soulmates but only one of them knows it ^^;

okay this is set in the same verse as this drabble

1) The deal is that for as many time they become reincarnate, Tommy will always remember their past lives, while Lov*tt won’t remember a thing. So Tommy always has the chance to see him free from all the tragedies that have fallen on them in their previous lifetimes. Tommy gets to see Lov*tt anew. A paradoxical ritual where meeting Lov*tt and getting to know him is a path equally familiar and untrodden. Tommy gets to see his eyes wide and bright, new eyes that have never dimmed as the life left them. Gets to touch his hand again for the first time. Gets to see his smile light up a new face. 

2) The memories come to Tommy the same way he remembers early childhood recollections in his current lifetime. They are always there, but never in the forefront, never fully formed as images and impressions until they are summoned. After that, they’re just a part of him. Tommy wonders sometimes if he only remembers his past lives when he finds Lov*tt- if he’s been sent back again and again to live lives full of memories he’ll never know. For once he doesn’t mind not knowing, he wouldn’t want to remember a life where he was alone, a part of him probably still aware there was something missing.

3) Lov*tt’s never before given any indication that he remembers anything. Not in any of the times they’ve found each other. But one day he comes into the office and talks about a weird dream he had. He holds Pundit close and squints as he recounts being, “trapped in a wall? There was a fire? It was fucking weird. I didn’t even eat any edibles.” And Tommy remembers the deal: as long as they get reincarnated, Tommy will always remember their past lives, and Lov*tt won’t remember a thing. So if… if he is remembering… then it follows, that this must be their last one. 

4) Tommy’s been swimming in one continuous time stream, despite the cascading memories of his previous versions of himself, but he still has to fight to stay upright in the opposing forces of the rip current and the tide- the then and the now. Treading to keep his memories aloft while the rest of him, his lives and experiences have all been drowned in the past. Sometimes, he feels worn thin, like he’s been sliced into slivers of a person, overlapping like different colored paint to make a muddled mess, never fully blended. So when he realizes this might be their last time here, their last shared life, it forces him to confront his mortality in a way he never had to think about before. It forces him to confront Lov*tt’s mortality in a way he hasn’t had to since that first time he died, Tommy holding his face in his hands, begging to anyone and anything that it’ll come alive again.

5) Perhaps it’s because their first life together was so fraught with tragedy, but all of their lives have almost been peaceful and quiet in comparison. Their ambitions carry over though life after life, and they always find themselves in whatever circumstances would follow that drive through, but they’re not fighting against gods or running from their own fortune, they live in a world of humanity and all of its wonders. Their lives are dappled with excitement and importance, but because they chose to live that way. Choosing to live a life where there’s still mornings sitting and drinking coffee and scrolling through their phones, where Lov*tt falls asleep on Tommy’s shoulder as they drive to their next tour stop, where there’s quiet moments of living.
