i saw ur payday post talking about the ending and for some reason i never considered that like. bain STOLE the presidents body on purpose i just thought he was like ... forced into it or whatever? anyways thank u for bringing light to the bain fandom (me) because im trapped on console and i dont get to play the ending anyways 😔❤

I feel your pain entirely as I have a pretty decent chunk of time on console because *I* was trapped there in shame :( (Think I got to like Infamy 6-7? So all the ones that matter and I kept going before saying “Man, this is depressing)

I haven’t been making any posts about Payday that match my normal playthrough posts pretty much for that reason. I already did it and the blog is meant to catalogue new experiences lol

but that’s why I made the ending post. Because I could talk a bit about some off the things I couldn’t do on console.

If you want minor sorta upbeat words on that:

- Not every heist console is missing really matters. Some are less fun versions of missions we already have on console........but variety has value on its own so :(

- The PC version, despite what youtubers will say when they complain that it’s unstable and demanding, isn’t... really? This computer is very very outdated and weak, and I can play like 98/100 heists at good fps on medium (though I also turn off some superfluous settings like lowering shadows and anti-aliasing)-

my point there being that if you are avoiding it because of PC woes- I have some INTENSE PC woes and if you’re not bothered by lowering graphics it runs just fine. I only found 1 heist that demanded I go to ‘low’ and 1 heist that just runs like shit even on very low but I should specify a hard truth:

“Running like shit” = “Running like the ‘bad’ maps on Console” like meltdown, so to say it’s playable is completely fair lol.

Obviously can’t speak for your PC, but if can you run it says “Minimum” and most likely “Recommended” are checked then you can trust it- the game is poorly optimized but plays fine enough.

I rambled poorly here since it was among the first things I saw waking up- sorry about that lol.

And I agree on the ridiculousness of Bain’s end- I love it so much. I do hope I can manage to get that ending before payday 3 gets out, but it’s a touch difficult.

If you haven’t I’d give it a watch- it’s amusing the more you think about it. He really did “STEAL” the USA and that’s his character arc- what a legend, and what a STUPID story in the best kind off way I love it.
