My modern rewrite of the breakfast club will be exactly the same except everyone is gay now so all the romance subplots are gay but also they're poly-coded in the "weird gay thing" way and instead of getting more femme the weird girl gets weirder and more butch

Was looking at your redbubble and I noticed that in one art of Herobrine and a distorted version of Alex, the distorted version of Alex is called "Player2". Did you come up with this or is this from a piece of creepypasta or something else I'm unaware of? (I am trying to find the coolest name for the creepypasta version of Alex since I think "Alexbrine" is kinda lame)

I came up with it, but it's a pretty generic thing to do in nearly any video game horror story ever, so I wouldn't be all too surprised if someone else used it or something similar for "alexbrine" themselves.

Another name I used on here was villainsbane, but even that is a less creative take imo, since it's just using similar elements because they evoke the same literary mouthfeel (though I have seen one person who liked the name so much they refuse to use anything else, and that's a HUGE needed ego boost for me ♡)

I think the coolest name for any added character, or any character in general, is one that has narrative implication. A name that speaks to their role in the story, what they mean to the reader, and/or commentary on the role they play. "Herobrine" is pretty straightforward- he slowly bogs down the hero of the story, the player, over time.

What would be the ideal form for another herobrine entity to take? What role would someone like "alexbrine" play, in an ideal setting? The reason it's so difficult for fans to agree on a name for her is because no one can really think of a cool enough story for her.

The tale of herobrine is so perfectly open ended that it feels whole and succinct in of itself... so what would adding to that story do for the overall narrative? The intended message and feelings of an unknowable dread and unreachable creator? Or the blending of reality and fiction?

I mention all this not to devalue your search, but invigorate your creativity and flare your motivation to create something truly special and unique, yourself. Why spend your time searching for an answer that may never come, or one that may never satisfy?

To me, based on this one little anonymous message, you seem like someone who might like to get the whole picture. To sew the worlds others have created together, and manifest harmony as a result.

First off, if that rings true, prepare to be disappointed. You could make the most amount of sense in the world, but you must first tell a good story. The Audience only listens to those who command the stage, after all.

Second, noticing patterns and placing each piece of the puzzle together can be invigorating in of itself... however, you will reach a point where you'll see a missing piece. A niche.

You have two options; wait and see what others create, or fill that niche with your voice. The clock is ticking, maestro. Will you speak? 🎤

I really love trickster characters like Lychee Dragon from Cookie Run and Kokichi Ouma from Danganronpa, because within their characters and arcs lies the most important lesson I've ever learned in my nearly-30 years;

At our very cores, people just want to laugh.

It doesn't matter who you are, how nasty or wholesome a person is, or how they show their smile. Just because you don't like what their sense of humor is, or that you don't understand it and can't possibly see how their words are meant to be taken from a lighter perspective, doesn't mean they don't care, doesn't mean they're targeting you on purpose, doesn't mean they aren't trying... so on.

People say and do harmful things, and it can really come out of the blue. It can do damage akin to straight up killing someone in cold blood. Sometimes you even wish some of these people would just kill instead of inflicting the damage they do just by saying the things they do. It never excuses their actions, nor the results they bring about, and it is understandably their own fault for doing so (to a point- supporting factors kept in mind).

This is a huge reason why memes and comedians are so successful in changing people's opinions. Why so many people just stopped caring what politician is less corrupt and only care to vote if the candidate is funny. Why people love viewing politics like it were a soap opera. Why we prefer to see news from tumblr or late night shows, even if they're strongly biased and can often rely on too much fearmongering.

Comedy is power. Comedy is survival. Comedy is life.

And it's only when comedy is aware of itself and its surroundings that it's at its most effective. Because, like the characters I started off with in this ramble-rant post, when someone isn't aware of the whole truth... that's when they can become a tragedy. When the whole damn play becomes a tragedy.

But... if you can "yes, and"... if you can be funny back... if you can tune in to their humor style and play around with that right back at em... that's what gives you power, and control. See and believe in the futility of seriousness, without ever giving up on love and learning, and you are bound to survive and *prosper*.

#there's nuance to everything ofc ofc #the rituals are intricate #also both of these characters are gay. goodnight #intercom #another little story btw...#to add to this lesson i learned that people just wanna laugh #i used to be incredibly bullied. tortured almost. specifically bc i didn't understand a lot of things #jokes. behavior. humor. context. everything went over my head. so allistic kids had a hell of a time w me #i got upset over every joke they played. which only fueled the fire of their targeting me #it got to the point where i only had one friend in my eyes. though a couple years later she told me she was only a friend to backstab me #and snitch to my bullies #so. when i went to a different school. needless to say. i had. trust issues.#i was convinced everyone was out to get me. i was terrified of making friends bc i was convinced they were only friends as a joke #and i thought nearly all jokes directed at me were attacks against me #i equated laughter to cruelty. i didn't see the sincerity behind any pranks or anything like that. to me it was all just... bullying #so i was in 8th grade one year and there was this kid who wasn't a bully. just a clown #but like. i didn't think anyone could be trying to have genuine fun. i always thought being 'silly' meant u were making fun of me or someone #u can kinda see why i focus so much on comedy in memes and tragedy in art and finding each within each other lol #anyway this guy made a clay dick and pretended to 'whip it out' at me #naturally i reacted with disgust either way and shoved him aside bc that's such an ugly fcking thing to do!#but he just giggled with his friends and walked away. that was my first hint i wasn't actually a victim here. tho i was still suspicious.#laughing with your friends over a joke like that? yeah. still red flag for me. but...#instead of targeting me more or laughing about my reaction w his friends or anything. he went and did the same thing to another kid.#then another. and another. and it didn't matter girl or boy either. he was genuinely just being a stupid kid.#and the more he played that dumb joke. people he did it to would watch him do it again to someone else.#and more people would be giggling as they watched him get someone else with it #it was the first time i really realized i wasn't actually born to be a target for everyone else. that people aren't inherently cruel at all.#over time it Really hit me. that people really do just want to laugh. even the ones who hurt me.#they didn't see it as being cruel. they saw all those jokes as...just that. just jokes.#people... just want to laugh. that's it. that's the core reason why anyone does anything to another person.
