Writing is a bitch.

I have trouble writing, but then I get writing and suddenly I’m over the bloody page/word limit.  Every other time I write I struggle to make 1000 words, and now I write four times that for something that has a limit??  GAAAHHH!!!

*table flip*  I’m going to bed.

Event Horizon Chapter 2 - Say Amen

Rating: T Chapters: 2/? Summary: Pidge gains new information for her search from Kolivan, and what should be a simple expedition turns surprising.  [x]

Gesturing to one part of the map, Kolivan tapped the bottom screen bringing up a detailed schematic of the location. “From what we gathered, it appears to be a prison and research base on a captive Balmera. One of the Blade already surveyed the site, it’s not very heavily monitored until you reach mid base. We believe that is where they keep most of their prisoners that are conscripted into research roles. You mentioned previously that your father was a scientist?”

Pidge frowned and tilted her head in thought, staring at the specs before answering. “He is, primarily engineering. Matt mentioned that he heard rumors in the prison that the Galra were interested in Dad for that purpose.”

“Then the information makes sense. Regardless, I’d remain vigilant. We've been finding more complications than normal lately and I don’t fully trust any intel, regardless of source. You should keep the same in mind.” The Blade leader murmured, swiping the screen and pulling out a chip to hand to Pidge. “Here’s the schematics. Be careful, and for your sake I hope the intel proves to be positive.”

Wait for the End - GW2 AU

Pairing: Kidge Rating: T Chapters: 1/1 Summary: Stranded in a strange place after chasing their current foe through the malfunctioning Inquest portals, Keith and Pidge have some time to clear the air after their long estrangement. Based off a scene in "A Bug in the System." [x]

“You think...the countdown...ended?”

Pidge stiffened at Keith’s words, the question she was trying to avoid being brought back to the forefront. She swallowed against the lump that had formed in her throat, thoughts of Matt and Taimi and the rest of their broken guild stuck back in Rata Primus. If the lab was still even there- the auto destruct was getting awfully close to triggering the last she had talked to Taimi.

“Doesn’t look good.” The words hurt coming out, and she turned and started walking to the other end of the island, searching for something to help them.

THIS RIGHT HERE is the overall theme for my GW2 AU...holy shit. Listening to this I can see Pidge going through her pre-Commander phase, Heart of Thorns and ultimately her death and resurrection during Path of Fire...ESPECIALLY THE DEATH/RESURRECTION PART HOLY SHIT.

I need to draw a comic of that when I get time...

Nanowrimo Update

I'm putting "Event Horizon" on hold so I can focus on my new story for Nanowrimo (and the Kidgezine), "Hellfire."

I'm super excited cause this is the first time I am doing Nano while writing with other people I chat with so I'm hoping this will give me the drive to finish the entire story by the end of November. It'll be 6 chapters, and at least 50,000 words. I'm also terrified because holy shit writing but I am gonna try my hardest. Even if I don't finish it for Nano, it WILL get finished and published after the Zine drops.

Oh and if you get the Zine? You'll get a sneak peak of the story before it drops later - with artwork! ;)
