Who the fuck wrote this?”
The first time you write something, it's gonna suck. It's ALWAYS gonna suck. Let it suck. Don't force it. You know what, you can go back and fix it. You can go back to it 20 times and keep fixing it. Let it be a stick figure the first time you write it and keep fleshing it out till it's the scariest, most realistic thing you've ever laid eyes on. Just stop being so hard on yourself the first time you're getting it all down.
Hey all Congrats to every fanfiction writer, Gif maker, Beta reader, and best commenter you all are amazing win or lose. Go you! So proud of every single one of you.
If you weren't nominated don't feel bad. There are lots of stories which means lots to choose from. If you like it and maybe a few people that's all that matters. Pat yourself on the back for writing or editing. Cause it's not easy and please don't feel over looked.
If you haven't read the nominees or looked at the gifs etc I encourage you to do so. Read and look because we got some pretty talented people in this fandom. Win/lose nominated/not nominate you are important.

Things you can do to make your room soundproof/keep eavesdropping parents or roommates away:
First of all, I'm compiling this list because I couldn't find any solid info online to help me attend therapy in secret during quarantine. So stick around, if you have a similar reason.
_
The first thing you need to do is identify the spots/vulnerable areas that let the sound can escape your room.
Windows are a no-brainer
A crack in a door/wall?
The keyhole of your door
Vents
Adjoining bathrooms
1. Plushies.
If you have any plushies/soft toys in your home, use 'em! I'd recommend even buying some, if you can, cause they help people with childhood trauma.
What you can do: place the plushies in front of the door.
2. Carpets, rugs and yoga mats.
Carpets are great at absorbing sounds. Hang one on the back of the door, stretch it out on the floor or a wall if that's your problem area. If there's space between the door and the floor, stuff it/yoga mat/any thick cloth in there. Make sure you place it carefully so it's not obvious to the eye of the person outside. You can also use sweaters/coats/woolen scarves if you wish. Sponges are probably the best option, if you have any.
3. White Noise.
If you can, place a laptop/recorder/any device which can play white noise in the background as you do your thing. Preferably, keep it close to the outlet where you can hear stuff from.
You can shift it around and place it in front of that crack in the wall or wherever you want.
Play music on your old ipod. That might help.
If you don't have any other devices, you'll have to either increase the speed (and hence maybe, the sound the fan/ac will make.
I often keep the bathroom exhaust fan on cause that shit's noisy.
4. A bookshelf/fabric hanger/a movable cupboard or wardrobe
Basically, something that can be placed in strategic locations to block sound.
If your bed is a mattress, shift it around.
5. Thick blinds or curtains.
Maybe get a soundproof curtain if you can? If you don't give a damn about the appearance or are good at knitting/stitching/weaving, attach thick cloths or mats to the curtain itself. That might just require a running stitch and those are fairly easy. I'm bad at stitching so trust me on this. Use it as a makeshift blanket. Say you made it just to keep yourself warm. If they have a problem with you having used needles, say this is the only one I have. You can use it. (not applicable in an abusive situation w your parents/spouse).
6. Door blockers
They are available online and you can place one under a door if there's any space between it and the floor.
Important:
You can switch around and use whatever you want. Make use of paper/cardboard or tissues if you wish. As long as it serves your purpose, it's a good choice.
Stay safe.
