Honestly, I'm just immensely proud and full of love for Dream right now - there's really not a lot of other creators with his status or greater that are willing to do the same thing he did tonight, and that speaks volumes about his character in so many ways.
The fact that he recognizes his mistakes and not only addresses them, but also apologizes and learns from them is such a breath of fresh air at this point with all the drama "cancel culture" nonsense that's constantly flooding every feed imaginable. And the thing a lot of people forget is that he didn't just turn 21 two months ago, but he also grew from under 1 million subscribers to nearly 11 million now in under a year - that's an insane amount of adjusting to do when you're still figuring out the beginnings of a life on your own!
There's no crash course for how to be a social media star - especially in such a short time - so it makes sense that he's going to make mistakes and go through his fair share of public lashings, but the fact that he takes them and turns it into a lesson for himself is incredibly mature and responsible despite how difficult it might be to do. There are creators 10+ years older than him that wouldn't consider even acknowledging similar situations for fear of being held accountable and promptly "cancelled," and yet, here he is laying everything out for anyone who wants to know and make their own judgements freely no matter the consequences.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Dream has so much potential ahead of him in the future - and not just as a content creator, but as a person in general - and I just know he's a shining example of what the next generation of content creators as a whole can be if we support and help them to grow. What happened tonight has only further solidified that for me so why not get that ball rolling faster, shall we?

“Monday” — Alex Dimitrov
I was just beginning to wonder about my own life and now I have to return to it regardless of the weather or how close I am to love. Doesn’t it bother you sometimes what living is, what the day has turned into? So many screens and meetings and things to be late for. Everyone truly deserves a flute of champagne for having made it this far! Though it’s such a disaster to drink on a Monday. To imagine who you would be if you hadn’t crossed the street or married, if you hadn’t agreed to the job or the money or how time just keeps going— whoever agreed to that has clearly not seen the beginning of summer or been to a party or let themselves float in the middle of a book where for however briefly it’s possible to stay longer than you should. Unfortunately for me and you, we have the rest of it to get to. We must pretend there’s a blue painting at the end of this poem. And every time we look at it we forget about ourselves. And every time it looks at us it forgives us for pain.
