What pool do you go to? I really want to get back into swimming because of my knee! :)

I went to the Olney Swim Center! There were a good number people there for a Friday night, more than I was expecting.

Get your swimsuit on and get yourself to a pool!

As long as there’s enough time to recover between the events, and your focus is on just doing alright in the swim and bike (space out hard workouts for all 3 sports), you should be fine.

Cross-training was a weakness of mine during my training for the Baltimore Marathon. I do like the idea of getting more time on my bike and spending time in the pool. The only thing that worries me is building up the endurance to swim 750 meters. Bike 13.8 miles? Easy. Run 5K? Piece of cake. Right now, I might be able to swim 25 meters in a pool if you threw me in. The race is still 5 months away, though, so there's plenty of time to train.

Year after year I realize that there's not a whole lot of springtime marathons around here besides Boston. However, European marathons are quite numerous March through May.

I'm looking at The Shires of Vermont Marathon (from Manchester, VT to Bennington, VT) on May 18, 2014 or The Vermont City Marathon (In Burlington, VT) on May 25, 2014.

October 18, 2014 - Was completely unaware that Baltimore even had a marathon. I've never even been to the city (just driven past/through) so I'll take a look at this.

June 21, 2014 - Grandma's Marathon has come up time and time again when I've searched for races to run. The course looks really great as I'm a fan of A-to-B races since they really emphasize the distance covered. The thing that always puts me off about this race is the weather. Isn't this the race where they've had to set up misting stations to prevent heat exhaustion?

Whoa, I just Google Imaged the Little Rock Marathon medal. That thing is ENORMOUS.

It was alright. It seemed like everyone was pushing a sub-9 pace overall. I'll have to give another fun run a try at some point.

Heading to Rehoboth??

I believe we're going to Ocean City, but may be stopping by Rehoboth. I'm just going wherever my friends take me.

After some more consideration, it looks like the best idea would be to push the long run to Sunday. I have to be on the road by around 5 am tomorrow and if I need about an hour and a half for the long run and a half of an hour to shower and change, that means I'd have to start the run around 3 am. That seems a little unreasonable. I was hoping to get a bike ride in on Sunday, but I guess I can do that Monday morning instead.
