Marathon trash bins often overflow with banana peels. Runners eat them for quick starch energy, while the potassium helps prevent cramps and replenish electrolytes.

🦇 Running the world’s marathons as Batman - in memory of Ariel Bibas. Ariel was kidnapped on October 7 together with his baby brother Kfir and mother Shiri, and brutally murdered in Palestinian Hamas captivity. His father, Yarden, survived over 15 months in jihadi Hamas captivity before finally being returned. In his honor, JewishFitness Coach is taking Batman to marathons across the globe. He’s already run in Jerusalem, London, and Sydney. Next up: Toronto, NYC, Miami, Tel Aviv, Paris, Cape Town, Rio, and Buenos Aires. 🌍🏃♂️ Every race, every finish line, keeps Ariel’s memory alive.
In 2017, after the London Marathon, I said I’d never run again.
For 7 years, I focused on bodybuilding (while eating plenty of challah along the way).
Running? Maybe once every two weeks for cardio. Sometimes 10k runs with my sister.
That was it.
But something was missing.
I wanted connection. So when I was in New York, I joined “Nice Jewish Runners.”
Consistency crept back into my life, and suddenly, I started to miss running.
In February 2025, I ran the Dead Sea
half marathon.
It pushed me.
It challenged me.
And when I crossed that finish line, I thought: what’s next?
Why not go bigger? Harder? Jerusalem Marathon.
The day after I signed up, the Bibas family’s story hit the world.
I had never met them, but I saw a video of little Ariel running in a Batman costume.
A few hours later, I ordered mine.
I’m not a marathon runner.
I’m just someone with a lot of heart who refuses to quit.
People tell me I must be gifted, I wish I was.
Truth is, I only started running again in November 2024.
What gets me across the finish line isn’t talent, it’s resilience.
Fitness has always been part of my life.
But this, this is bigger.
When hundreds of non Jews message me saying they’ve learned the story of the Bibas boys because of these runs, I feel grateful.
When followers say they laced up their shoes because they saw me running as Batman, I feel proud.
It fuels me to keep going. To keep running. To keep showing up.
Jerusalem was just the start.
Sydney, New York, Miami, Toronto, Paris. This journey is only getting bigger.
Because running is no longer just about me.
It’s about memory. It’s about resilience.
It’s about making a small difference in a world that sometimes forgets.
