Man what a great night, and what a great privilege. I was driving back to the campaign office in Bon Air prepared to wait however long to hear the result. But as I was driving my mom calls me at around 8:15 pm to tell me that they've already called it, and Northam was projected to win. I swear... I was about to start crying But no didn't because I would've crashed my car 😂 Suddenly I started getting texts and notifications from all my other friends and family telling me congratulations. I was also happy to discover all the newest memebers who were elected to our house of delegates. Congrats to Danica Roem, Elizabeth Guzman, Hala Ayala, and Jennifer Foy :) When I first started working on this campaign as an intern in March I had no idea just how much I'd learn. And I never thought I'd make really good friendships along the way. Working for the Northam campaign was stressful, but still the most rewarding and humbling experience of my life. Thanks to Nikki, Nic Duda, Owen Townsend, Rachel Bracken, Dan Mahoney, and everyone else I worked with. Also to everyone who volunteered with me, and all my organizers for making my experience on the campaign so worthwhile!!!! Good luck Governor Northam. :) Here's to the next 4 years! On Nov. 7, 2017, Virginians will vote for three statewide offices, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General. Virginia voted blue in the 2016 election and it is vital that we keep Virginia blue. I’m fully committed to electing the democratic ticket in November and will continue to work towards that goal in the upcoming important weeks. Please help us elect Ralph Northam for Governor, Justin Fairfax for Lieutenant Governor, and Mark Herring for Attorney General. The City of Alexandria is stronger with Democrats in Richmond. We will officially begin our City Campaign after November 7, 2017.
