“you’re just… so, so stupid.” and kangs/keggie/keggangs! lovingly ofc
“Okay, but what am I looking at here?”
Reggie and Fangs look at each other, cans of glow-in-the-dark spray paint still held in their hands as they gesture out toward the empty football field. Kevin can see markings painted on it in their respective colors, but from here he can’t tell what they’re meant to actually spell out.
“Come one, can’t you tell?” Reggie asks, gesturing again almost impatiently.
“Read it,” says Fangs helpfully, and Kevin just cocks his head.
“How exactly am I supposed to read something you spray painted across the football field? Climb up onto the roof?”
“Oh.” Reggie’s eyebrows furrow in momentary contemplation. “Well, we could--”
“Fine. It’s a promposal,” Fangs says, to Reggie’s exasperation. He sighs dramatically, tossing his spray can down.
“Dude!”
“What?! He just said he can’t read it from down here, man!” Fangs throws up an arm. “And how the hell would we even get on the roof?!”
“Ohhhh my God.” Kevin laughs a little, more endeared than annoyed. He didn’t know what he was expecting when they asked him to meet them here in the middle of the night, but this is definitely better than whatever his top 3 guesses might have been. “You’re just… so, so stupid. Both of you--”
They look at him.
“But, I mean...” he continues after a pause, biting his lip for a moment before he sighs in an exaggerated but fond way. “Obviously my answer is yes.”
Reggie and Fangs look surprised, then pleased, grinning at each other and high-fiving.
“See? Told ya it was a good idea.”
“It’s important to me that you guys know this was actually an awful idea.”
