Why aftg fandom doesn’t have fun/beautiful ship names? Yeah, playing with names is fun and all, but it’s not comparable to Matchablossom, Timebomb or Wolfstar. Where’s the poetry? I need it

When they were still in college, dealing with a bad day–whether it be emotional or physical–was a hell of a lot harder than it is now. Both Kevin and Jean had finally transferred to the same team in Delaware and had managed to find an apartment that would fit both of them, their ego’s, and Jeremy comfortably. Jeremy had decided that he didn’t want to follow a career in Exy like Kevin and Jean, he found his joy from the sport was pulled more from watching his boyfriends play nowadays. And he also had the freedom of choice for his career, unlike Kev and Jean.
They had told him everything, eventually, in those first few years of Jean’s transfer to USC. Jeremy didn’t like it, he didn’t have to, but it was the only way that the two of them could survive, could be with him.
Kevin and Jean were away for a game, just far enough away that Jeremy couldn’t follow and watch from the crowd–not with his caseload at work anyway. So he was relegated to the sidelines and left to watch on their flat screen, alone.
Just like how he woke up this morning.
When he woke to empty and cold sheets that morning it was almost guaranteed to be a Bad Day. Jeremy would likely get into his head about it and, even though he put on a brave face, he would feel terrible until Kevin and Jean got home. He knew, logically, that they were just out for early training today, so they had a proper cool down ready for the match later. But his mind still raced with possibilities and most of them were bad. They were always bad.
In the office, his work did little to distract him. His coworkers chatted away like usual and tried to drag him into conversations. Jeremy knew they were just being kind but he couldn’t shake himself out of this fog that had descended on him today.
“Hey! What are you guys doing for valentines day? Got any hot dates planned?” Jeremy’s coworker, Shelley, called to the break room as a whole. Usually Jeremy was happy to play along and chat to someone so obviously in need of attention, but his heart just sank.
Valentines day.
And no one was here to celebrate with him.
He stood up, abruptly, from the table and walked out of the break room, heading straight for his supervisor's office. He couldn’t remember what he said exactly, something about not feeling well, but he must have looked the part enough for Brian to send him home immediately with well wishes.
The apartment was cold when he got in. No warmth or chatter or life. Jeremy sat on the couch and pulled the blanket off the back, wrapping it around himself, and stared blankly at the television. He hadn’t bothered to turn the lights on when he got in–it was only 2pm after all–but the shadows that were creeping on the wall now enveloped the whole apartment in darkness. Jeremy blinked, for what felt the first time in years and looked towards the clock on the wall. It was too dark to see the hands, so he pulled his phone out of his pocket at a glacial pace and tapped the screen to light it up.
9pm.
He’d missed the game. And several texts from his boyfriends asking if he was okay.
Jeremy had just pulled together enough strength to open the group chat to respond when he heard a key in the front door. Kevin and Jean were whispering between themselves as they walked in, probably quibbling about some play or another in the match tonight.
That Jeremy had missed.
He was the worst boyfriend ever.
The overhead light blinked to life and blinded Jeremy. He hissed quietly and tried to lift his arm to shield his eyes.
“Oh… Jere…” Jean’s sad voice echoed around him as a weight dipped the sofa to his left.
“Have you eaten anything tonight?” Kevin’s question joined the cacophony in Jeremy’s head. He managed to shake his head, to dislodge the noise or respond to Kevin's question, Jeremy wasn’t sure. The movement made him realize how stiff his body felt though.
Kevin and Jean whispered between themselves in French, before Jeremy was scooped off the couch by a pair of arms. “It’s okay, Mon cœur, we have you now.”
Jeremy was deposited into the bed, where Jean crawled in beside him, pulling gently until Jeremy had his head resting on Jean’s chest. Jean placed a small kiss on Jeremy’s forehead and Kevin appeared moments later with a banana and a bottle of water, which he placed on the bedside table. He then climbed in on the other side of Jeremy, lining their bodies up so there was no room between them at all. He didn’t say anything, but offered silent comfort and warmth that Jeremy would forever be grateful for.
It was a bad day. But it would be alright in the end. He had his boyfriends to thank for that.
Okay, all I need to be happy is Kevin/Jean/Jeremy to be endgame. Frau Sakavic, you took away my kendreil hopes, so please make up for it. Kevin is a needy little boy, having one boyfriend is not enough he needs two.
