Ken and Big are in the medical wing because Ken has a concussion, Chan finds them there.

Big clears his throat.

“Was there something you needed, sir? You came looking for us.” “Ah.” Chan sighs, then pinches the bridge of his nose. “I came looking for Ken. Khun Vegas has requested assistance with an urgent document translation. But since he’s out of commission, I’ll have to do it.” Ken feels nauseous all over again. “I can-” Big starts reflexively, and Ken’s heart drops down to the pit of his stomach. Chan silences him again. “No. You can’t.” It’s sharp, dismissive, and Ken knows that dismissal is all Big will ever hear, but there’s that note of something else again, the note he couldn't place from earlier. Almost possessive. It doesn’t matter where exactly Chan is coming from with this. For once, Ken isn’t going to argue. “Big, with me. I’ll walk you through the additional duties,” Chan says, turning to the door. Big falls into step at his heel.
