1) What’s the most depressing movie you’ve ever watched?

The Good Girl. I was watching TV on a saturday afternoon and I ran into this movie and thought “Hell, this movie has Jennifer Aniston and Zooey Deschanel. Must be fun.” Like hell it was. It was depressing not in a tear-jerk way, but it an “everything it’s awful and I feel terrible and the world is bleak” way.

4) A film you could watch on repeat for the rest of your life?

Little Miss Sunshine, probably. Or Saving Face. Or the Princess Bride. Or Stardust. Ok I’ll stop.

11) Your favourite movie genre?

Adventure. And some comedies.

15) A film everyone loves but you hate?

Titanic or the Notebook.

17) Which cinematic universe would you like to live in?

Harry Potter’s!

blog title tag

there isn't really much to say about my blog title goshdarnitjay. i switched to it in January 2014 (which means I've had this url for over a year, which seems so surreal. Jan 2014 seems like it happened just yesterday- i bought the abba golden hits cd on Jan 5th '14- still easily the best purchase i made that year) and it replaced my old jayrizzles121 url, which was preceded by emilyrohan121 (which is now a music blog)

ok so the origin: in Jan 2014 I didn't really like rizzles that much anymore to have it in my url and i figured it was time to switch things up, so i thought about a new name and i had just recently reblogged a post with "quirky" ways to say swear words- like jiminy cricket instead of jesus christ and gosh darn it for god damn it- so I figured why not pick something from that list- first i wanted to pick jiminycricket121 i think, but then i figured everyone would think i'd picked it because of Pinocchio and i didn't want, cause i don't actually like Pinocchio at all- so i went for goshdarnitjay instead.

it's special because it doesn't have the 121 i usually attach to my usernames (brand recognition, yo), but i still enjoy it super much (and it accurately describes my life- gosh darn it, jay)

my actual blog title "yeah you can call me the mayor-laaayyorrr" is from this wonderful post made by my dear friend tinakris and it just blew me away with its hilarity, which is why it's been my blog title since... 2012, now? fucking hell, time flies like fuck

I was tagged by addams-beineke so here we go.

When I was in middle school (around the time I was staring to read and write fanfiction) I was also obsessed with the Redwall series by Brian Jacques.  Like, I know each of those books are kind of formulaic, but whatever. Super fun to read. Anyway, one of my favorite books was Mossflower, where one of the characters introduced is Timballisto.

He is a mouse that can design and make ballistas, hence the name. I thought it was so badass (and gender neutral because this is back when ppl were afraid of predators on the internet) that I made it my penname and never bothered to change it.

Yes. Parental love, friendly love, puppy love, love love. It’s all very real.

Yes I could forgive. But the relationship would be over. I can forgive, but I will not forget.
