Brashen, five Vestrits, and two tiny pirates
[sketches from when i was reading mad ship]
hobb sure loves her trauma layers
kennit attempting to breed his live-in situationship with the teen boy in his care is almost unbearable to read about, but it’s really fucking funny that he tried so hard to hint that etta should teach wintrow some of her “worldly” skills and she defaulted to combat. WITH KNIVES.
etta, kill that man and you will be reincarnated as a beautiful lotus flower🪷
captain Kennit from ship of magic, love this crazy bastard :)
I wanna make a comic of the first couple of chapters of the ship of magic for some comic practice, so I've been working on drawing some characters until I get the hang of them!
Burrich set the bar too high for every single other man in this series tbh
(This works alternatively with Fitz and Hap)
Just finished Ship of Magic in my reread. Wintrow and Vivacia working together in the storm felt very triumphant! Like finally accepting their bond for what it is and being able to communicate and do things they can't do on their own. Then we get to Kennit's interactions with Vivacia which gross me out.
He is very predatory towards her, and Vivacia is shown to enjoy it, which like, feels very Robin Hobb (derogatory).
Kennit's sheer dumb luck is absolutely astounding.
