Dear friends.
Early next year I will be doing a show in the city of louisville. It will be a retrospective of sort, and will mostly consist of recontextualized older works mixed with newer works.
One of the new works I plan on doing is a 2 channel sound installation, which will consist of multiple people describing their own bodies. The voices will be mixed together and hard panned so that the voices of multiple people will be fused into one voice.
What I need from you is a recording of you describing your body. You can be as detailed or as vague as you feel is necessary, and If you don't feel comfortable describing your whole body feel free to just describe what you are comfortable talking about.
You can record the recording on your cell phone or your computer if you have to, but i can accept most recording formats but I prefer they be either mp3, wav, aiff, or ogg files. For logistical reasons i need all the recordings before november 15th so I can have time to sync everything up and master the recording.

Around the same times, Henry Harrison Mayes was active, Alan Lomax traveled through Appalachia and recorded the music of the people there and the people themselves. Some recordings were released on Folkways, like When Kentucky Had No Union Men by George Davis others ended up on compilations and even better, all of Lomax Kentucky field recordings are documented online and available as stream.
