Kenny doesn't know how to flirt. He will threaten you, readjust his hat, do up the last button on his shirt and undo it cos he is suffocating and then shout at you about something random cos he has all these feelings and doesn't fucking know what to do with them. What they even mean.

Uri doesn't know how to flirt. He just stares. A lot. Big bug eyes looking at you. He will blurt things out, unadjusted, undiagnosed individual. He will play it off as a joke and laugh, flap his hands. He will, however, eventually just ask for what he wants or demand it.

And so them getting together goes something like a half dozen awkward interactions but they just keep trying and Uri gets tired and makes the first move. The end.

I think Uri told Kenny he loved him, and Kenny never said it back. because he doesn't say shit like that. he doesn't love. except he really, really does. Uri was not perturbed by this. he kept saying it. and Kenny kept grunting his acknowledgment and leaving it at that.

it's only when he watches Uri die, chained down and smiling, that he really wishes he'd said it back. just once.
