I feel like someone really dropped the ball in warning me that the consumption of asparagus would make my pee smell like something died in my bladder x_x
So I live in South Dakota. First of all food prices in general are ridiculously expensive. Second, there is not a single Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, or really anything that sells healthy, keto friendly products. Went to Nebraska for Easter and went a bit overboard. The TJs garlic salt is absolutely my favorite seasoning in the whole world and I haven't found anything as versatile. So I bought 8 😂. Just for reference, I bought Kerry gold butter for 2.99$ in NE and it is 6.99$ where I live. There is also two coolers worth of cold foods (halo top, riced cauliflower, more butter , etc) that I packed with dry ice.
I'm drinking a shitty drink of tap water, 2 kinds of salt, lemon squeezin's and off brand Mio. It's okay. I can taste the salt but the off brand Mio covers it about 70%
Not that bad
After a day of not eating keto, (gold fish, a few bites of a donut, taco bueno and shrimp and grits) only up 2.3 pounds from yesterday. Pretty happy with that. Now I will not eat off meal plan at all this week. Not one cheat bite, nothing. We will see how this goes. Determined to get back to 30 pounds down!
Help!
What are some low carb, calorie dense foods? I don't eat meat but I am coming up WAY low on calories at the end of the day. Does anyone have any ideas? @fatgirlgetsfitatlast @swimmingtofrance ? I also work out a lot because I'm a personal trainer so I kind of need to.
Not keto today
3 straight weeks of keto. We're going out to dinner tonight. Still going to avoid breads and such. Cannot wait for grits tonight!
Yesssss!
I was worried my weight wouldn't get back to my low of last week. I was up about 2.5 pounds on Monday which I wasn't surprised (we eat keto, just not to the macros on sundays. Just carbs). But last night I just felt hungry. So I made a keto mug cake rather than eating the cheesecake I had prepped. Mug cake was significantly higher in calories. But here I am. Only .5 up from Sunday last week so I'm pretty happy. I just have to stay in the mindset that keto is worth it. Going out for coffee today with a friend. So glad there are keto options for coffee. It's so hard turning down everyone that just wants to grab lunch. Now off to the gym!
Did a bit of meal prep today! Back to keto this week. I seriously need it. I have let this month go badly. So here's to starting again a small hopefully sticking to it for a bit. Pork chops for dinner and cauliflower Mac & cheese for lunch. Not pictured: ham and cheese roll ups for breakfasts and a failed attempt at keto pudding. I froze it so maybe it will turn into ice cream. We will see
