Moral of the day: don’t sweat it
Guys, I am pretty psyched about what’s been happening.
To get more accurate readings on My Fitness Pal (and to ease my self-criticizing), I added the Tampermonkey script for Percentages and Net Carbs (read a little about it and find how to install it here) and it made me realize that I’m usually doing a lot better than I think I am.
My Fitness Pal, for some reason, doesn't show you net carbs (carbs-fiber you can’t digest), and so it makes your intake seem a little more overwhelming than it is. I could eat one meal of chia pudding and almond milk and MFP would show it as me punching my 5% allotment in the face (and that would make me really discouraged and stressed out). But with this script, it minuses all that fiber in chia that’s not being absorbed, and brings down the carb amount from something like 20g to 6. Maybe not that much, but you get my point.
Along with that, I also got some ketostix to see if I was actually burning fat, and holy crap, yes I am! On a scale from 0 to 100, I’m at 80, and this is still with 10-15% carb intake on good days, 20% on bad. So, I think the key to low-carbing it (at least so far) is to not stress so much and eat as low carb as you can without going nuts.
That being said, I think I may bump up my carb allotment from 5 to 10 percent, because I just currently can’t obtain a daily 5. Still thinking about it
CW: 160 (because I weighed myself this morning though I told myself I wouldn’t.) *80′s jump*
