While it's on my mind and I'm on my laptop, lemme share with y'all some key commands I discovered/learned about that I use like all the time (macbook/apple phrasing bc I haven't tested these on a windows computer)
So, let's say you open up a document you've been working on that you have to scroll to reach the bottom. You can use Command + Down Arrow Key to shoot yourself all the way to the bottom!
This works for getting back to the top of a page, too! Just use the Up Arrow Key instead
This also works for individual lines of text! If you're at the end of a line, you can use Command + Left Arrow to get to the start, and the Right Arrow to get to the end
What if you just want to go back a couple words? No problem! Use Command + Option + Left Arrow and it'll take you back word-by-word! Right Arrow to go forward again
You know when you have to highlight a buuunch of stuff and you have to awkwardly drag your mouse/cursor across all the test and line it up to where you want it? Stop that. If you place your cursor at the start of the text you want to highlight, scroll down to where you want it to end, and hold Shift before clicking at the end, it'll highlight all that text for you! You can also keep holding shift and select text higher than the start if you've missed some and it'll highlight that, too!
Some really basic ones: Bold is Command + B, Italics is Command + I, and Underline is Command + U
To select all the text in a document, use Command + A
Command + Z undoes the last thing you just did (hold it or keep pressing it to undo more), while Shift + Command + Z replaces things you've just undone
Option + Any Key will give you different symbols/glyphs. (Ex. Option + C is ç and Option + 1 is ¡) Option + Shift + Any Key will give you even more (sometimes just capitals)! (Ex. Option + Shift + C is Ç and Option + Shift + 1 is ⁄)
Also, holding down letter keys can show you different accent options! Each option is tied to a number that you press and it inputs the letter with that accent
I'm sure some of these are well-known, but I just wanted to share them anyway just in case. Some of these I used for graphic design and French class, and I have friends who didn't use even the really well-known ones
