Objects close up-> F

to tumble,spin the view->Alt (pc), Command (apple) + left click

Track-> middle button + Alt/Command

zoom-> Alt/Command+ right click

Move-> W

Rotate-> E

Scale-> R

Shade object->5

Wireframe objects->4

right click/hold on object to get to select parts of objects

Select-> Q

Add to selection-> shift and control 

Unselect parts-> control/click

To deselect-> click nothing

F8-> switch from object mode to component mode

Notes: Blue- Z, Green Y, Red X

NURBS (have curves) and Polygons (polygons have faces)

Channel objects displays info for selected object

Some tools for modeling are on the polygons shelf-> Extrude (thickness, offset, division), Interactive Split Tool

Quick key Mix-ups :/

Working in Illustrator/Photoshop then playing Sims 3 (and continually going back and forth) is so confusing. I've recorded five videos of me building a house in the last hour because instead of pressing 'H' for the hand tool I keep pressing 'V' for the selection tool, I keep holding the space bar to move the picture on my screen when I just need to hover at the edge of the screen and to zoom I keep wanting to press 'Ctrl +' / 'Ctrl -' to zoom in and out rather than 'Z' / 'X'.

Then when I go into Illustrator I keep pressing 'E' for the eyedropper tool rather than 'I' 

The worst part is that I do it all the time. I could have gone weeks without playing sims 3 and I'll still press the wrong button for the eyedropper tool.
